Kompany Returns from Injury

Please, please please don't rush him back. I love VK unconditionally but he's clearly a bit of a meathead about these things. Whenever he thinks he's ready add 2 weeks.

Let’s all stay calm. He needs a couple of weeks of training before anyone considers letting him back in the first team. Somewhere between C1 cup final and Kiev at home before he thinks about playing 90 mins!

We've only conceded 4 goals in the last 7 league games. It seems Ota and MDM are benefitting from a run of games together.

Aside from the issue of tiredness arising from fixture congestion we shouldn't change the central defensive pairing while it's working so well just because Vin declares himself fit again.

I don't think the clean sheet against Sunderland was down to a good defence, mind you. Id have Kompany back in as soon as he is fit enough to play.

He shouldn't be rushed back but as soon as he's fit enough he should go straight back in. Some of the more recent clean sheets have been more luck than judgement.

We've only conceded 4 goals (not including the 2 against Juventus when he went off injured) in 12 games with him in the side.

You love him unconditionally then call him a "meathead"
- Bi-polar loon :)

Part of it being unconditional is accepting someone's flaws :)

Hell, I love that he's such a competitor that he wants to be back on the pitch as soon as possible. But he needs to be protected from himself.

Luck ! The more you practise the luckier you get. You can tell that Ota and MDM are building up a good understanding and the way they celebrated together at the final whistle on Tuesday shows the bond they've built.

If we carry on conceding very few goals I wouldn't change it

thats 4 goals too many

Any idea how long he's been in full training ?
I think this could be his first day back but Pellegrini said before the Everton game that he'd be back in two weeks.

He might play against Leicester, and if he doesn't he'll only be a week away I reckon. Perfect timing with 5 massive games coming up

What we don't want is a repeat of when we lost 3-2 to the dippers,he was rushed back and was terrible
As long as we defend a bit deeper to be able to not be caught out by the long balls over the top that vardy runs onto then we should be ok with nico and demi,i will say a prayer first though ha
