Kompany Returns from Injury

not sure what we do here; next six games are Leicester (h), Spurs (h), Chelsea (a), D Kiev (a), L'pool (LCF), L'pool away

when you've had a dicky defence most of the season, that's not exactly a run of games you want to start dicking around with it again, especially now theyre looking more settled.

couple of half hour cameos in the two home league games would be a good starter

Have we got U21 games coming up where he might be able to get a bit of game time? You are allowed to play 3 over age players in them I think.

No you wouldn't. Also at home you know we have a significant advantage

Of course we have. But the more we progress in the FA Cup, the more fixtures we have to squeeze in in the last few weeks of the season. And that could kill our title hopes. That one is still the most important trophy.

With the injuries we have, and our competition having less games, I feel it is vital to minimise the pressure on the squad. One May midweek defeat dues to tiredness could lose us the title this year.

Agree totally with this.

Get him in an EDS game, gently ease hime back, the odd sub in league or cup games, otherwise he'll be spending time at the "The Kompany Complex" that opened in the Etihad Campus

I hope to god we bring him back slowly and gently and progressively. I have a horrible feeling he'll do his calf again straight off and thats the last we'll see of him this season, or worse. I pray to god this doesn't happen.

I'm sure we will be ultra cautious with him. The other concern is that it might mentally affect him, given how much of his game is about anticipating and stretching at full capacity,

i want to see him bossing spurs around the pitch next week, leave it for tomorrow. i see spurs as a bigger threat now.

Two massive games these aren't they. Win both of them and we really are in the box seat, but it's one hell of a tough ask considering how many injuries and out-of-sorts players we're carrying. Play as we have been lately and it could be two defeats.

It could also be two wins and top of the league and it would be even sweeter if Leicester and Arsenal draw.

Obviously decided it was too soon to risk him tomorrow. Not a surprise really.

true, true, but have we ever been in the box seat though, i mean...ever?! this season will go to the wire again.
