It's not Pellers..It's not even the team..

Right now we have 7 potential starters injured and not enough players to rotate.

We've had 51 injuries this season to Leicsters 15.
The players looked so jaded and we're entering our busiest period. I fear for us I really do.

I just hope targets are sewn up for the summer.

The Pellegrini apologists now rewriting history. It's the team that's not good enough apparently. Even Manuel stated that we had the best squad at the start of the season.

It just goes to prove that the players available to him aren't good enough then.
I said earlier in the week that i'm amazed how we're still fighting on all four fronts with the defence we've got.
To go the rest of the season having to play a 35 year old as centre half, left back that can't defend with no pace and a right back in decline then we will be doing well to make top 4 to be honest.
If you have a 35 year old centre back who's proving to be a bit of a liability you have two choices:
1. Take him out of the firing line and play a younger more athletic player in his place (Sagna), or change your approach and offer some protection to this potential weaklink by playing an extra defensive midfielder in front of him.
2. Do nothing.

Injuries have been a factor but look at yesterday, who was missing that would have started? Kompany and maybe KDB.

Missing 2 players shouldn't make a huge difference. I think it's more the tactic's, style of play and tempo.

This charming man is clearly a nice chap.
However, that cannot be a smokescreen for what he has achieved or more correcly, failed to achieve.

Apart from our Kevin, Pellars has not improved our squad, and has been the custodian of allowing the squad get old, complacent and demotivated.

He is a poor manager and is not tactically cute enough.

Being a lovely man is not anywhere near enough.

Kolorov should have been hauled off at half time but gradually got worse and worse. He could have subbed him but didn't. Really bad decision

right back in decline?

Where do you get that from.

Annoying that our fans are ready to write off players like Silva and Zabaleta who can go on for years. Zabaleta struggled earlier in the season, but for me he is now back to his old self. The semi-final against Everton he was superb.

Our fullbacks were OK against leicester. The problems were in central defence and midfield.

It's the ridiculous injuries that have potentially derailed our season

Never known anything like it

If we had a full strength squad we would be breezing this league

We have constantly had either injuries or players coming back from injury

So much so that we have barely had a settled first 11 since the beginning of the season

Look at Leicester yesterday..they played like a team..a consistent one who have been fortunate not to have any long term set backs on the physio table..coupled with the fact they are not fighting on all fronts for trophies..fit..rested and hungry for it..it doesn't matter how many world class individuals you have in your team..if there is no consistency you will lose as often as you win

It's the elephant in the room that nobody is seemingly acknowledging

We have been desperately unlucky with injury this season

Well said - a bit of perspective. It's not just that we have had injuries - it's the fact that our best players have been out at the same time.

If we have a squad of 21 senior players with one of them being Richard then please tell me how we have two players for every position.

Another question, Pellers got it right at Leicester a couple of weeks back, didn't he? Better finishing and we'd have won that one ( or maybe being awarded the penalty we should've got ). So tell me did he gauge them before playing?

Sorry, 1-90909091 players for each position. I rounded it up for the folk who can't do decimals. Better finishing and we would have won most games. It is not the lack of finishing that characterises the manager's influence it is the whole team set-up, the starting eleven, and the constant chant that he wants to play attacking football - full backs who are often caught upfield, too many midfielders who don't do the dirty work. They are all Pellers' responsibility and he has been found short!

They are a desperate bunch the happy clappers that's for sure, performances have been erratic for 2 seasons now, injuries is just the latest attempt to prop up a manager with all the ability of Alan Ball

The only attacking play we had came from Sterling and Kolarov's overlaps. Time and again they'd get the ball in an advanced position but the cross never went in, or was poor. Perhaps the midfielders weren't running into the box. But had Clichy played you think it would have been better? No it would have been worse. Clichy is not as good as Kolarov going forward and we were chasing the game at that point

There might be an argument now to play Clichy and Kolarov because Kolarov's crosses are the only threat this team has at the moment. Our midfield offers nothing.

You mean replace him with a 32 year old and risk burn out to not only another centre half cover but also a right back that'll be needed in weeks to come

I'd have no problem with blaming injuries instead of the manager if it was his first season in charge, however, it is his THIRD season and we look progressively worse both mentally and tactically as a team. Pellegrini has made the same mistakes over and over and over again like it's fucking groundhog day.

Do you believe a different manager with those performances from the players yesterday would have got a different result?

Pellegrini is gone. I will shed not one tear as a look at my post history for the last 3 years whilst supporting him has always said he is holding the fort until Pep arrives. Not hindsight, my opinion in writing on here for all to see.

The performances from the players yesterday where an utter disgrace, end of.

Okay can you list the number of games this season when we have had a team that is weaker than the opposition? Can you also do it for last season as well? I will then happily accept our manager is indeed a good manager and he has been unlucky and not bleeding useless

I agree although I think we compound the problem by not using our squad players effectively: Sagna should be the man to cover for Kompany and Mangala, not Demichelis. And Toure should not be starting full stop. But the major problem is injuries.

The injury list published by the BBC and Skysports recently shows that City are by far the worst affected team, and there doesn't seem to relate entirely to numbers of games played either. We have either been very unlucky, and maybe there's an unknown(s) reason for our injury problems.

The players we have relied upon in the past to varying degrees are injured more often than not or until yesterday namely Silva are playing injured.

We do have the resources and should have the pulling power to cope with that better but what is more prudent is to bring in players that can cope with the premiership with minimal soft tissue problems or recurring injuries unlike what we have now.

When you combine this with our main choice in midfield who is no longer suited to playing an ever increasing number of sides in the premiership you are asking for trouble and the kind of results we are getting including drubbings that were non existent when we were organised and had a work ethic.

It's not about individuals though..of course on paper we are streets ahead of anyone on this league..but when have we had a run with a settled team never mind a settled first 11?

You seem to be missing the most obvious point in all this, a decent manager would not have picked those players or played in that way, that is why he is not fit for purpose, it isn't even about yesterday, he keeps fucking up time after time
