Should we ditch 1 up top?

Our midfield doesn't really chip in with goals. Aguero gets poor service. Nacho keeps scoring. It's not really working with 3 in midfield. Is it time to bench Toure and go 2 up top? Discuss......

At times it looks like it's killing him too. He was poor today though. Missed a great chance, was constantly offside (although may have been linesman) and passing was poor.

Been saying this for weeks. We need to stop trying to cover up weaknesses, and concentrate on what we are good at. Pellegrini is supposed to be an attacking manager but for all the comments that we played better today, Aguero was isolated and their keeper had next to nothing to do

This season has gone for me and eve though it's been a difficult one with injuries we really have made some shocking decisions which have only compounded the problems

Our tactics are all over the place. When we have the ball, we stand around waiting for the ball to come to us, no movement. Passing it out to the wings, only to realise there's only aguero in the box with probably one other player nearby.

We could try sterling, aguero and iheanacho. But it's not as easy that. We've got a manager who's set on his ways and doesn't think outside the box. Once navas comes back, we should play the team that started this season.

In theory it seems it would work but Pelle would likely play Toure in the two and it leaves us too exposed with Fernando too limited for a two imo. I guess it could be argued we will always be vulnerable so might as well try to play as attacking football as we can to compensate.

At this point last season wasn't everyone begging for Pellegrini to ditch 4-4-2 in favour of the formation we are using now? Virtually the same problems are occurring!! Maybe the formation we're choosing doesn't have that much effect on our current form. It goes much deeper than that I'm afraid!

Kelechi and Sergio seem to have a good relationship and i think anything would work better than our current tactics

3 in midfield is ok if the midfield score. Currently they don't.

Yea. Our only goal came from a pull back to a player who would not have been there in that position. His oppo would have been 20 yards back. There is a time and a place for playing one striker but not at home in games we need to win.

I'm sick of us playing this wide tippy tappy game, with only a small striker in the middle it doesn't work. It was sussed by everyone last season so why the hell we persist with it, frack knows.

As far as I'm concerned Nacho should start most games in place of Toure. A great player whose decline has been rapid, dramatic and sad to see. Really I want to see the back of this tippy tappy, slow and wide game. If we had three or four goal scorers like Barca have, then maybe, but we don't. We have one.

I'm also sick of the lack of effort from the team. This whole not bothering to play until we are losing is pathetic.
