Paul Wilson (Guardian) on that penalty decision

He's even worse than the likes of Ogden and Jackson in my opinion. Always talks about us in a derogatory manner, but his take on the Sterling penalty is bad even by his low standards:

"Raheem Sterling jumped in the air to block it, and ended up doing so with the back of his arm as he turned away from the ball. You see them given and you see them not given, but though the home crowd felt it was harsh Mark Clattenburg’s decision to award a penalty could be defended.

The ball had not merely struck an unknowing Sterling. He had moved to cut out the cross and should have been more careful. It is hard to argue ball to hand when a player has launched himself at the ball, and as Sterling was the beneficiary of the last appalling decision on this ground it might even be said that what goes around comes around."

Prick.

Yup, I read that this morning. I'd say I couldn't believe it, but it's pretty much par for the course for the Guardian. It's a fucking pathetic excuse for a sports paper

Wasn't the 'last appalling decision on this ground' us not being awarded a penalty against Leicester??

He must have conveniently forgot about that

Cant remember this total and utter **** arguing the point about Sterling's none penalty decision in the previous game of the afore mention Everton semi final. Fucking horrible twat!! When are City going to start digging these pricks out in press conferences? As much I despise bacon face, he always had a welcoming party for sly shitty journalists who said anything ever so slightly negative about that lot!! Mr nice but useless Pelligrini is never going to do such a act.. But Pep.. Let's hope so hey.

I have an itchy feeling that Wilson is a Dipper, so Sterling was never going to get a good word.

Edit: seems he's a BlueDipper, but considering some of the shite he's written about EFC I'm just a little doubtful!

In all fairness I live in Liverpool and have to put up with the gob shite's every day and this morning when I arrived at work they were all defending sterling and saying in no way was it a penalty.

After Mancini the club doesn't want any controversy or confrontation. It's why they went for nice guy Pell.

He's conveniently forgotten stones clattering Sterling in the Everton home game as well .

Ridiculous. If City had serious balls we'd ban the likes of him. Better still invite him to Pep's first press conference then withdraw it an hour before.
