Why do we hardly ever sing this song anymore, hardly hear it at home games and didn't hear it sang once away at Sunderland?

It was sung at least 3 times on Sunday and is regularly sung at home and away matches. It was sung quite a few times at Aston Villa for example.

The club, for reasons best known to itself, appear to have stopped playing it before the match starts which was a good starting point to matches. If Liverpool can always play YNWA & West Ham IFBB before their matches I don't see why we can't play our Blue Moon before ours.

Yea we've sang it a few times against Spurs, but the club have stopped playing it for some reason.
I don't like the overkill of playing all kinds of music just before the match starts.

Silence.... then introduce BlueMoon, this will allow us to create our own atmosphere, with BlueMoon the song to get everyone involved as most know the words.

Playing rave music and violin renditions of madchester isn't fit for purpose to allow us to start chants.

I think its run its race now that song, could do with something more up to date.

Hear it all the time at home games, may have a point about away games though, it is heard less frequently away but our away support in general don't really sing anymore unless we are winning, away atmospheres have dropped considerably compared to how it was just a few years ago. Everybody is loud on the concourse but as soon as we get to our seats it goes quiet.

It is OUR song, Manchester City's song. It is identified with us as the two I mentioned in my earlier posting are identified with them!!
I had been watching City 20 years before that song was sung so I wouldn't go as far as that.

It has been sung for nearly 30 years now as Manchester City's song so I think we can safely say it has been ours for a very long time!! I've been watching City on and off for nearly 60 years and it is the song I remember most. (According to our very own Gary James, the first time he heard it was in 1989/90, strangely enough at Anfield!)

How long do we have to sing a song for it to be recognised as ours then in your opinion?

i have asked before ,why is the song not played pre kick off anymore ,someone has ballsed that one up

why was it sung in the 1st place?......never really got my head round what it actually had to do with us.....
what has any fans anthem got to do with any club,? the answer is nothing they are just songs that catch on for some reason,
