Thought Sterling was great but opted for Fernando. For 70 minutes of the 90 I didn't know who the hell he was, certainly wasn't who we've seen for majority of his spell here!

I think it's a shame how Fernandinho is overlooked, been the most consistent player for City for the past 2 seasons and never gives up. He's also been on a leash most of the time to accommodate for Yaya. He was my MOTM for tonight.

+millions. Thought he was by far the outstanding player tonight. Watching it in a pub with a new found City friend, and we were unanimous. Sterling not a long way behind.

Was a bit shocked how overlooked Aguero was when I opened this thread, even though I would have maybe voted Sterling or Fernandinho myself if that wasn't the case, we should never just take him for granted he was brilliant tonight as he normally is we simply wouldn't have won it without him. First goal = class, hold up turn and backheel for Sterling on the second goal = class, closing down and harrying the defenders running in behind all night = class.

Silva steadily getting back to his best I just hope the players around him don't start taking their foot of the gas when he is back to his best thinking he will do all the creative/magic work, if they are all playing to their potential and he's at his best then we can win ALL of the games left to play in the league IMO.

Just voted for Fernando and expected to be a 'lone voice' - from the stands he seemed to be everywhere and bring a lot of calm.

Sterling was wonderful tonight, I wish he would have stayed on his feet and converted but other then that he was great

Many were great tonight and I can't find fault with anyone voting for Sterling or Fernando. I went with Dinho because playing out of position in a massive CL match and turning in a really strong performance just edges it for me. He's such an all round footballer that it doesn't shock me but that was a very big ask by the manager and the player delivered

I voted for Otamendi; he looked solid at the back today and barring one incident seemed to sweep up everything that came his way.

Everyone apart from the fullbacks did really well, they were lacking at times with distribution and positioning. Special mentions to Sterling who for once played onnhis toes rather than his heels, Yaya who put a shift if, the Fern's who worked really well as a pair but mom was Ota, his first half performance was brilliant.

Some great performances to pick from. I'm struggling between Sterling, Fernandinho and Silva.....

Gotta be Magic Dave. But I wouldn't be mad at anyone disagreeing.

Special mention for Fernando, who was instrumental in our 'earning the right to play,' and it resulted in our best football for months.

Voted for otamendi, looks a different player next to kompany. Thought it was the best I've ever seen Fernando too, so many excellent performances. Same again on Sunday please boys.

My vote went to Raheem but it was worth noting I could have picked any of the 11, thought Sagna looked solid and although Clichy had a wobble I would argue he also had the most difficult job of marking Yarmalenko.

Sterling for me. Had his full back (both of them) in his pocket all game.

Pace, power, directness and work ethic and tracking back, tackling and making the right decisions. id give him a 9 out of 10.

all the lads were great though. A top performance. Im so chuffed.

Stirling, surely? O.K. he's not the finished article, and we know that. He sometimes lacks awareness of who's around him, and he has a tendency to play himself into boxed-in positions out on the wing at times, with nowhere to go. But let no-one suggest that he's lazy (I've read that, astonishingly, on this forum occasionally) — it's utter cobblers. I've not seen one match this season in which he hasn't worked really hard, not shirking defensive duties, but also getting forward to put in great crosses. Last night was an object lessson in that. He worked like a maniac. He will really develop under Pep. I have no doubt whatsoever about that.

Otamendi and Sterling were really good.

I went for Otamendi because not only did he win everything he was starting attacking moves off up the left wing at times, fucking mint!

Otamendi was class but he worries we when he starts these attacks as if he gets caught out we are very light at the back and open to counter attacks but as he did not get caught out he was a great contender for mom
