Innapropriate Chants

Heard the paedo song at wembley and felt pretty embarrassed that some of our fans were singing it. It's funny how we have people on one hand completely flipping their lid when a newspaper might mention he played for us once and then on the other hand a load of our fans seemingly celebrating it.

i never heard it but it does come across as a bit fuckin stupid,like someone earlier pointed out...its the sort of shit that gets thrown at opposition fans,you don't glorify it like its a good thing ffs

Yeah, I've never been one to even use that kind of stuff against opposition fans either though really. I wouldn't laugh and shout about that kind of thing walking down the street and I don't see why people think it's ok in a football stadium. I think I've actually got a pretty dark sense of humour but you should know your audience a bit before you start publicly joking about child abuse and plane crashes etc. But yeah, it does seem especially stupid when it's your own fans, a bit like those Chelsea fans singing "we're racist and that's the way we like it." I like to think that Chelsea fans are the absolute worst but we clearly have a handful who could go toe to toe with them on that front.

We have some proper morons supporting us, as does every team. Not sure why anyone in their right mind would sing that one about Johnson.

By the way, did you actually put your fingers in your ears....!??
 
Do people really think City fans singing it are somehow celebrating the fact a convicted Paedo has played for us? United fans sang it first, it's not like the song wouldn't exist if City fans hadn't taken and adapted it. It's essentially a pre-emptive strike singing it ourselves to prevent the opposition fans singing it to us constantly for the next few seasons.
 
I know I'm a bit of a prude with some things like that so I generally steer clear of threads like this, but listening to some of the stuff being sung whilst waiting to get out of the stadium at Kiev made you think some of our fans have a strange obsession with paedophiles. I don't get why you would want to associate the club with Adam Johnson any longer or why some think it's acceptable to call people paedophiles when there is absolutely no suggestion that they are. Nobody actually believes Moyes or Ferguson are paedophiles so why sing it, it's not clever, it's not funny, so why do it?

Best we can do bud is not participate.
I heard the Jihadi John song around me @ Wembley and I just didn't involve myself in it.
I'll sing throughout the whole game (as usual) and I've sang on my own in places full of Rag bastards... the jokes on the people singing this shit as many blues who sing aren't singing this.

As for the Adam Johnson chant, first time I've heard it lol.... didn't hear that once @ Wembley.

This is a message to the Gutter scum who sing this shit and also use terms like "Munich" :
People aren't laughing along with you, they are laughing at you.

At the EDS game the other week against the Rags and these kids were singing Munich chants and so on.
I was there singing along, winding up the vermin but in no way would I use terms such as "Munich" or do the plane flying thing.

Kids not handling their Drink and Coke.
They'll be Mummy's little boys on their best behaviour the following day when sober.

Proud to say I have never uttered the Munich word in my life in a negative context. I accept there have always been stupid chants but at weekend I was witnessing absolute dickheads videoing themselves in pubs singing absolute drivel. Social media video hoodlums. Absolute cocks in my opinion.

Ah I wasn't suggesting you had, nor have I - what I meant was how did you react then! Just seems strange that you would put your fingers in your ears when it's been going on for years!

There are idiots following us, but the same with every club I guess.
