Wilfried Bony 2015/2016 Performances

I remember Yaya criticic bony for not trying hard enough, ,,maybe he is at his
Dream and can start partying like Ronaldinho. .....I love parties too but I don't
Have to score like a fotballplayer.......

I felt sorry for the lad yesterday. Clichy who had a cracking game put a wonderful cross in for Bony that Bony didn't convert. The thing is Bony instigated Clichy's pass with an intentional nod and movement forward and then ballsed up his finish. He's over thinking things, he is sensing animosity but I think he could have an effective place in our team.

When the team was being announced on my video feed he was described as "The Striker". How many times in the first half was he in our half of the pitch with other City players much further forward. I'm sure that MPs idea was to play long balls to him in a forward position for him to lay them off for Sergio et al. But as a striker he should have converted that sumptuous cross from Clichy, or at least forced a save from their goalie.

One of those days for him yesterday. Not a single thing went right for him. Pellers' should have subbed him @ 30 mins because it was clear to everyone it just wasn't going to happen for him. In fact the highlight of his day was probably the appreciation he got from Sergio, the fans and the manager when he came off - despite having a shocker.

For a player his size, he actually has rather good technique and was sometimes brilliant in holding up the ball and building up play. But ultimately scoring goals is the major responsibility of a striker and he missed some very good chances yesterday, not least the corners which should be his strength. Having said that, he was rather unlucky in that every time he seemed to get some momentum going, he got injured again. But he has to start making good use of the chances presented to him soon, otherwise it becomes harder and harder to give him the benefit of doubt.

The problem is it's one of those days for him every time he plays! I actually thought there was a little bit more movement from him yesterday, but his touch was awful ....think in the first 8 minutes he touched the ball five times.....4 of which he gave it away and with the other he missed a sitter

Appreciation isn't the word to describe what I heard from the fans.

I desperately want him to do well, but something don't look right about him. Too casual for me.

Absolutely awful I'm not sure Bony would have deserved a place in the Stuart Pearce side let alone today's.

He's not a city player for me, doesn't offer us anything really

Unlike what we have just discussed about Manu, he looks like he believes he doesnt belong and he doesnt have that natural confidence.

Its a shame as there is a player in there somewhere but i dont believe its with us long term.

Completely agree, his quick thinking was only spoiled by his touch. Given time (which he may still get?) he'll come good IMO could be what we need for last 1/4 of the season.

He doesn't resemble the confident, powerful and prolific striker that was terrorising defences in a Swansea shirt. His numerous injuries and lack of continuity have certainly contributed to that but,the reality is,he just doesn't look comfortable amongst our players or in our set up,his body language is negative, his awareness is lacking and his industry is poor.

Like others,i still believe in his ability but it simply isn't working for him here,i don't think he will survive the cull.Expect him to turn up elsewhere impersonating a beast/defenders nightmare again.

Pathetic response from some fans around me in the south stand when he got substituted. Some were cheering when he went off and we are winning three nil!

Shocking buy and still scratching my head over it, never a City player and remember getting shot down in flames on the forum when i slated the signing when it happened

He'd be great in a Stoke shirt............

He's been terrible, but I think he can play a lot lot better than what we have seen.

Having a bad couple of games then going back to just Aguero up front then bringing him back in a month later, it's stop start and he's lost confidence
