I took some mates to the match v Villa.
A Stoke fan.
A Bristol City fan.
A Liverpool fan.

On the way home we had a frank conversation about the experience.

Walking up to the ground they were impressed with the sight.

Pre match they couldn't believe how fantastic the Fanzone was from the players arriving to Moon shine and all that. Even the pies were good.

The match was ok with the atmosphere expected as it was Villa. Seats and view were fantastic.

In short, no other club has what we have and boy are they jealous.

Don't forget how lucky we are folks!

Yesterday just after half time about twenty people in 23_90 216 doing orchestrated Mexican wave for photo session also they all had orange blankets was expecting a trolley dolly at the front pointing out emergency exits wtf

Probably just the lads from the GTMO supporters club over for their first game.

The Emirates is miles better than the Etihad and most others.

The Britannia, Anfield and Ashton Gate are not nice to visit for various reasons, Anfield being the worst by far.

How is it miles better than the Etihad?

That's mint. I thought with the thread title this was gonna be another moan, happily surprised! New converts if they bring their kids next time instead of their other clubs?

I brought a Blackburn fan and an Everton fan to a game recently, the most interesting comment was "if you were a young player that every club was after and you came here for a look around you wouldn't sign for anybody else "
They were blown away by the set up across the road!

My daughter has friends that are AV fans and were at the game. They were extremely impressed by everything other than their teams performance. Great pre match, great stadium, great catering. By far the best away ground and allround match experience they had been to.

I recently had the displeasure of going to Old Trafford - and not the cricket ground - for the first time (work reasons). All I'll say is that the "500 Club" isn't exactly as glamorous as they make it out on the website.

The Etihad and the academy ground over the road are absolutely fantastic and that's without my blue tinted specs on.

I think they may have been guests of our half time sponsor, Nexen Tyres. I initially thought they are inmates from a US federal jail on an away day.

It is true though... we don't realise how good we have it as well I may be speaking for myself here, we're accustomed to the setup now as we frequently go.

Only thing I'd welcome is a bigger, indoor arena for fans to congregate pre/post match which is warm, sheltered from bad weather and maybe serves decent kebabs.... like that place next to West Brom's stadium.
Google: The Vine.

This place is supreme :)
