Red & Black is Back?

even all your previous designs have been amazing though mate! outstanding designs that would sell shit loads

i'm sure Nike know more than i do about what sells a shirt more i think .... as i have sold none (not that i have tried mind)

Can you imagine the positive press we'd get if we took a fan onboard within the design team?
I highly doubt we have a design team. It's all done by Nike so it would mean Nike taking on board Gav and flying him over the Oregon to help design kits.

the trouble is, its all about what is easier and cheaper to make before design and look for manufacturers now. That's why you see a lot of clubs sharing the same template design.

for example, if you used the same template for Nike's client clubs of Barca, Inter, Atletico, City, Roma and PSG with the same template, one or two could end up looking wrong for that club.

like a striped template, City and Roma fans might/will object to stripes in their home kit, but Nike thinks its cheaper for them in the long run if everyone uses the same design ... its all give and take.

i'd have to work from home, as i'm housebound with my disability. Even if i was able-bodied like I used to be, no way am I gettin' on no plane, sucka!!

As I've said in the past, decades back, the City shop at Maine Rd used to do good quality college-style scarfs in our colours (home and away, I had them both but somehow lost them during my many peregrinations) — spun wool. Of course, they weren't particularly cheap, but they were very, very smart, and they also actually kept you warm, unlike the acrylic ones. One of them was the black/red stripes version, the other was sky blue but with the maroon trim running through it in the middle. How I wish they'd bring them back as an option.
Still remember how good Colin Bell looked in that black/red stripes kit. He looked — well, I'll say it — downright handsome! Especially when he was in full flow, racing forward…
Actually, it's just occurred to me. He looked like nothing so much as a racehorse. A superb, thoroughbred racehorse. Or a dancer, maybe

;-)

Ah the red and black striped kit that's what got me supporting City in the first place ! I am not from Manchester, and it started when I was eight and joined the local cub scouts because they had a football team this would have been early 1970s ,well they played in the city away kit of red n black stripes ,badge centre of the chest . it looked to an eight year old very daring and different to other clubs so that was me a city fan . now I am.not gonna claim that I was at York away or was there at Wembley for Gillingham but that's how I became a city fan simply down to the red n black striped away kit and a badge centre of chest !! I always say that it's not how you got the call to be a city fan it's that you got the call .
