What has happened to our club? How out of touch are they?

I don't do twitter so but for this thread I would be blissfully unaware of the tweet. However while I'm not that arsed about it I could suggest that our social media team get a little more cutting with their tweets, along the lines of :-

"On a scale of -5 to 0 how did you rate that crap yesterday?"

As a fan of over 50 years standing (sitting is more appropriate now), all I can say is THANK FUCK I DON'T SUBSCRIBE TO ANY SOCIAL MEDIA. Fortunately, I have a life, so I don't have to listen to or watch such puerile offerings such as this. But, if anyone is interested (suit yourselves), I'm going for a dump after posting this.

Not sure about declaring on a social media fans forum that you don't subscribe to any social media, but appreciate the heads up on the dump situation :)

A few months ago there was a shift in the Twitter style, I can only assume a new social media manager has come in, most of the tweets are now questions rather than statements. I find it annoying and a blatant attempt to try to "engage the community"

But if we had won 5-0 and been scintillating it would be OK? Point being is it now only positive opinions the club should ask for? Bit fucking Liverpool that for me.

You're the one always rallying against any criticism of the club or our performances on this site.

Plus he uses the phrase "man up" so for that alone literally everything he says should be ignored.
I think telling someone man up because they're crying over a tweet is more than ok. One poster said it angered him. That's a person being angry over a tweet. A tweet his football club put out. Perspective much?

Thanks fuck this is only a forum, and represents not much in term of our fan base, and I include my own ramblings in that.

Are our social media accounts run in house or out-sourced to a specialist company? I know supporter services is in house (for obvious reasons) , but must admit I've noticed a change in the style of tweeting from the main account.

We've either out-sourced to a new company or they've let the work experience kid loose on it

I imagine everyone on here can only dream about being as manly as you.

Good morning team. It's The Boss here. (no not Yaya.... it's me, Pellers). Just doing a quick survey to check on how you think yesterday went. Just a bit of input for the social media uni-grads, so you can be honest, they promise not to tell Cheeks or Pep or anything! Pick any one of the following emoticons to best represent your view of yesterday's performance, including your own contribution, plus team selection, tactics, substitutions, and of course my legendary pre-match, in-match, half-time, full time and post match motivational speeches. I've kept the options limited as I know we were all fully in agreement about how great it was, and plus I know decision-making is not easy for some of you (Joe). So get choosing boys!

Let's be honest our social media team, plus those who work on a matchday, are a fucking joke. All nice people, you can tell, but they all epitomise this corporate cheese that the club have consistently moved towards pushing onto the fanbase. Even the nods to the culture of the club and the fans feel manufactured.
