Remember the days

On the tram from Altrincham and all very quiet not seen one rag and just left Deansgate.

I think it's worse now. Back then nothing was expected of us, we'd get smashed but the stick i got in School wasn't much different from the stick i got every week. Post takeover ewe became the favourites but wee always looked more up for it than they did and was never truly worried as if we lost it was a tight and they'd usually fluked it. Today though i'm worried about how up for it the players will bee,e Kompany is a huge blow in that respect more than his actual ability. Pellegrini an Yaya don't strike me as capable of getting them up for it. Down to you Joe Hart.

Things are changing. People aren't comfortable with change as the army of change consultants insist on telling me at work. Nevertheless, I do see the change curve in operation amongst our support as well as our rivals. Shock, denial, frustration and depression. According to the models, things will look up shortly, presumably starting next year.

I don't get this sense of "the club are being run badly as regards us fans" that has started to appear on here recently.

I can't think of a single premier league club that is being run better. I do get that Manuel has worn some of the weaker posters down a bit and it is undeniable that this season has been a bit of a damp squib after only winning the one cup (so far) and only progressing to the champs league quart finals (so far) for only the first time in our history (so far), but, in case I need to remind anybody,

THIS IS THE FUCKING DERBY.

And I also understand that having the cheapest season tickets of any top English team, as well as some of the cheapest match day tickets of any top English team is a clear sign that the fans "aren't being listened to" but other than all that what exactly have our Abu Dhabi based owners done wrong that some are so upset with?

Bizarrely these days we just don't know what City will turn up.For a derby game even when we were shit we knew they would come out and give it 100%,I can't say the same today which is a bit of a damning indictment given the players we have now. Without Kompany at the back it could be anything today and I include a hammering for either team.I hope it is and I pray it is us dishing one out and not taking it!

Our last two Derby performances have been desp.

When you woke up on Derby day with a knot in your stomach, knowing deep down that our team was up against it and just hoping that we kept our pride intact and they didn't smash us on the pitch, knowing deep down that the odds were in their favour up against world stars and title winning teams.

Well this is just how our Rag neighbours will be waking up this morning. Only we had the guts, thick skin and the stomach for it.

The dirty Rags will have not slept well and they will spend the whole morning worrying, sweating and dreading that they don't get smashed off little old City !

Welcome to the new world any Rag lurkers on here.

The sun is out the sky is blue !

Happy Derby Day !

I remember b4 the takeover and watching it with my brother. He's a red but a good guy. Then some of his mates came in after we had lost and one knobead was singing "yerll win f all" blah blah blah. Right in my face etc etc. Every City win is for him...never seen him since...shame.

I remember getting worked up when watching my nephew playing city versus united on his play station! It changed after the semi-final, that was the turning point when we became better than them. After that I started to really enjoying beating them left right and centre, then when we had the Moyles non-performances I started to lose the passion for the derby. I never thought I would ever feel like that, maybe it is part of the aging process!

Haha! Good post.
