Home & Away (Not the TV Soap)

I do what I can, don't miss many. if ever there was a choice I'd ditch an away for a euro away. would never even consider missing a home game.

What do you do for family events etc? I was daft enough to miss a home game for my own wedding! Didn't have a clue back then! We beat forest 3-0 too!

my family, and to be fair customers, check fixtures before arranging anything. I did miss a game for my daughters wedding, it was the time we beat villa 5-0. I was fuming with her.

Used to live in London so went to nearly all the grounds in London. Never made it to Upton Park though. Prices were cheap and you could just pay on the gate in the 90's for most matches. Back up here now and have a season ticket for home games I could not swing away games but I don't really fancy all the travelling! Also just could not justify the costs.

Could you not just hire a well known american actor to impersonate you at future events whilst you sneak off to the footie?

Ha ha. I can imagine! Doing the father of the bride speech while your mates are texting you the score!!

I do all the home games and have only missed away this season at Everton (league cup) Sunderland (Premier league) Chelski (FA cup) all due to work. I wont being going to Paris,Chelski, Southampton or Newcastle. This will be the most games I have missed in a season in the last 10 years; the tipping point has been reached.

Try to see all the home games and most aways within 150 miles. So this season I always intended to do Newcastle, Sunderland, rags, both dippers, Stoke, Villa, Baggies, and Leicester. And Sunderland, Everton and Villa in the cups. However Wembley is an acceptable exception.
But Arsenal was subsidised so we went, Watford - well it's not that far past the limit so we went, West Ham - last visit to the Boleyn Ground so we went, Norwich in the cup - cheap so we went, Bournemouth - it's a while since we played there so we're going and we'll go to Swansea as it's the last game of the season. And distances are different in Europe so we did BMG and hope to do Paris.
I've been applying this 150 mile limit for a few years (with one or two extra thrown in) and it means I have the points to make the same decisions in the future. - Unless more corporate Belgians crawl out the woodwork.

Same with me, only starting in the South! Been to Palace, Watford, Spurs and Wet Spam this season, but then chucked in Norwich cos I've got a mate there, Klanfield cos it gave me a chance to visit no.1 son at uni, and Leicester to save him a train fare home from his girlfriend's house. Oh and a nice little 3 dayer in Seville. And I've got Bournemouth and Southampton to come. I invariably find an excuse to go to away games, but financially it's getting tougher and tougher, and being utterly sick of Pellegrini isn't much a motivational factor either

Every home game, including all cup matches. A few aways this season, Everton, Villa, Unitd and, because I love going, Norwich. Wembley of course. I did much more traipsing here there and everywhere when I didn’t have kids (I’ve done 83 grounds with City). Not been able to do any euro aways this year as I teach and non have fallen in holidays (which, by the laws of probability is fucking hard given we get 364 days holday each year - thought I’d say it before someone else does). And I’ll never stop going. Whatever the cost, I’ll find a way. I’ll have to. Because I absolutely, fucking adore Manchester City.

If you don't mind me saying you always sound angry as fuck on here, what do you teach unarmed combat? ;)

Used to go home and away everywhere. Now I rarely go to away games, four a season tops now.

I started to refuse to pay for away tickets that were over £40-45 a few years back but that's left me with few options these days. The price of a home match on my SeasonCard costs that much these days!

Traditionally every home match and about half of aways. I've been slacking in the last two seasons.

There are probably quite a few now but a lot less before 2007 takeover which was the first turning point.

I would reckon about 1,000 regular 90% home and away fans 2015/16 and about 400 in 2006/07. It is the newer ones who tend to let people know.

I used to do quite a few aways but haven't now for last couple of seasons.

In fact thinking about it, I've done one last season and one this, and left at half time in both games! I don't enjoy them that much anymore in all honesty.

I'll always go to the homes games, if only for an excuse to see my mates and have a beer in town.

Try and go to the away matches in the North and Midlands as often as I can. Also done a few CL away games over the years, as a treat. I don' t do the Southern away games due to ticket and travel costs. Too much money for one match. Sadly I can see myself slipping behind in loyalty points and ticket availability in the future. There's a good chance I might evem miss out on the OT derby ticket next season, as the demand will rocket even further when Pep arrives. At least I was there for the 1-6.(it should have been 10)

I do as many as I can. Living on the south coast it's a ballache at times for the home games what with the M6 usually resembling a car park so I started to knock the midweek games on the head, I always try and make sure my seasoncard and my son's are used though, even if I give them away.

Been working a lot of Saturdays this season too so I have missed more than usual and used my holidays for the Euro aways, done Seville and Juventus, will be doing PSG.

Glad a couple of local games are coming up, Bournemouth and Southampton!
