Simple question, are you walking out during West Brom? YES or NO?

Are you going to walk out during West Brom game in protest at ticket prices?

I don't mind the 60 brick as it means we are obviously reaching further than anytime before. the snag is the club don't seem to realise the audience its pitching at. joking apart we are not as well off as the plastic rags who pay a fortune to visit the swamp every game. we simply don't earn what they do. I'm not skint but no way would I be able to afford to traipse up from the south every other week to watch city. some even do hotels to boot. city have got this wrong, we are mancs , they must have done their homework before buying the club and should have factored in our low/middle spending ability before they went ahead.

I'm staying on the concourse for the first 15 minutes, then going on the terraces and staying silent. :-)

Regardless if I'm the only one, I can't change my stance.

Hopefully we won't score in the first 15 minutes. ;-)

I know, bring the abuse on. :-?

It's a dangerous tactic JRB. I've missed a lot of goals over the last couple of seasons either setting off for the bar early or returning after half time late!

TBH I've done the same. The Mrs said it's nothing new for you. :-?

I told her it wasn't about finishing or getting another Beer this time. Even though I will drink my Beer slower.

On a serious note. I will see what is happening before the match, gauge the general concensus, and decide then. If nothing, I will continue with my 15 minute protest and then go to my seat, goal or no goal. The match is on the screens anyway, isn't it?

I'm going. But I bet many with season tickets won't be going. It's live on TV, 5.30pm kick off, and after the derby defeat many just won't bother. That's what you call a waste of a season ticket/match ticket. That's your opinion and you're entitled to it. No problem there. Personally I don't think it has been. TBH I've got a good deal on my PSG ticket. Season ticket holder and in the CL cup scheme. But for me it's not about myself, it's about every single City fan. We shouldn't be pricing out 1 City fan, let alone 1000's. Now I could be wrong, and If I am I will apologies, but if I see 1000's of empty seats against PSG in the 2nd leg, minus free and discounted tickets the club basically give's away, I will feel sick to my stomach, just like I did V Kiev. Especially if those ticket's could and should have been sold to genuine City fans at the right price. But hey, I'm not Soriano, or one of the many Exec's at City who make these ticket prices.

All good stuff JRB and you have been consistent throughout.

For me it is important that the ground is as full as possible for both the West Brom and PSG games. It's down to personal choice but I would hope those season card holders not going against the baggies do all they can to pass on their tickets to other Blues, who may be less well off than themselves! They also have the choice of trying to shift their tickets on the Exchange of course.

No doubt Tricky Glicky would use season ticket no show numbers to justify ticket prices to the Board.

just go and enjoy the game, all this walk out stuff is bollocks. there is more good done by posting your thoughts on here. the club read this forum avidly. if you intend to go then just back the lads.

No.

I've cancelled my CL scheme so won't be buying the tickets for my son and me at that price. And I won't be joining next season unless the prices are published before I join. To me that is the best form of protest.

The game could be well on the screens. I'm one of the mugs paying the 93:20 prices so they usually keep the game on in there.

The thing is mate we could guarantee the stadium is not just full, but rocking as well had the PSG game been priced accordingly. In real terms the extra revenue is inconsequential when you consider the impact a packed etihad in full voice would have to the millions watching on tv.

I too think, actually I know they read this forum. Which makes their statement even more a kick in the teeth. I agree about backing the team though.

Spot on! This could have been the game that captured our imagination with the Champs League but the impact is likely to be the opposition.

I know schools get tickets for Champs League games for peanuts so ironically poor full price sales could lead to more youngsters seeing the game.

In answer to the question - NO.

Leave it till 10 mins. to go - half the stadium walks out - possibly to beat the rush - ?

I stay to the end............

Going back a few years - when we played Hamburg - tickets sold out in 24 hours - very reasonably priced - place was rocking -47,000 +

If the club do read this Forum then perhaps they could share my itinerary for the weekend of the West Brom game, with their Premier League counterparts (because City are by no means the most guilty)

Return flights to Dusseldorf £120
Hotel 2 nights £60
Bochum v FSV Frankfurt 11 euros
Cologne v Leverkusen 31 euros

Compare that with a train ticket, and 2 nights in London, whilst watching City at Arsenal

Incidentally, neither Cologne or Bochum charged a booking fee, and I can drink beer within viewing distance of the pitch.

At Bochum, we’ve got standing tickets behind the goal (remember them?)

PS If anybody is ever considering a visit to Germany, i would recommend a night in Bochum’s “Bermuda Triangle”

No , our owners could have chosen any of the 91 league clubs , but they chose us , and don't forget it , they have taken us from a top ten side , hoping for a cup run , to a team that regularly wins trophies , titles and plays champs league every season , unfortunately there is a price to pay , admission prices and camera wielding tourists with half and half scarfs.

Just had a look back at individual ticket prices I paid in 2009 to take a mate along with me and my son.....league game tickets

I bought several tickets between £35-£47 for adult tickets in the family stand (the cheapest stand at the time).

I am not saying £60 is right, just comparing it to league prices from the 09/10 season - in fact cheaper tickets would lead to a better atmosphere as proved at the Hamburg game, which incidentally I missed out on attending because they were sold to anyone, I know a lad who got 6 tickets but had never been to a City game in his life (and he sold them on for profit) yet I missed out even though I had bought tickets for all out Euro games that season.

That's an area I think the club HAS improved on.

PS. Maybe I am less bothered because my ticket for PSG is in the £40 bracket

NO.
Turing our backs on the team for 5 minutes would be a better option - especially as we're unlikely to score during the game with Pellers tactics.

Let's see how many care about £60 if we win the away leg first, pretty sure the place will be full if that happens
