Dimitri Seluk (Yaya's agent)

Seems a strange thing for him to say. Yes he normally says strange things, but usually his intention is to maximise Yaya's position, even if he doesn't actually achieve that aim. At this time I would have expected him to maintain the line that Yaya wants to stay. Put the pressure on City to force a transfer, on terms that financially benefit Yaya.

If you're leaving, then leave just shut the fuck up about it. No idea why Yaya puts up with this clown as he's constantly undermining his legacy at City with his outbursts. Huge game coming up? I guess I better start putting negative stories in the papers then. Put the team first for once ffs

I thought you said he was staying tolm? Whats changed?

Nothing much. City let it be known before the derby that they were happy for Yaya to stay and that he wouldn't be pushed out the door.

It would seem the Yaya camp (Seluk) has other ideas and they won't accept whatever a reduced role would be under Pep.

I don't think we are that lucky, but if Yaya demanded a move, we could at least avoid paying him up.

As it is, he in on such massive wages, we might have to get peanuts, anyhow, just so the buying club can hand him the fee, rather than us.

Yeah I understand that. It seems strange when fans tell others there's no room for sentiment in regards to players. I always thought that was part of the joy of the game. Like you say, you'd expect a manager to be different but I quite like having a bond with certain players. They've usually earned any sentiment coming their way.

Not for fucking years has that been the case
All players are mercenaries

Isn't it his birthday next month? Turns 33.

At least if we all know where we stand, we can acknowledge his incredible role in our history and wave a new club legend down that tunnel for one final time?

He deserves no less, same goes for any of the lads from the early takeover days.

I get that, I really do
Players are transitory, especially at the level to which we aspire
I've no problem with players leaving when their time comes. Most disagreements stem from when that time is. It's different in each players case.
