Get to the Etihad for the 2nd leg!

That's why i used the example of the Fa cup semi finals we've been in over the last few seasons and not tonights match. those were not finals either so the "it's a one off" reason isn't valid there yet nobody even questioned those prices when we played United and Chelsea

It's cos it's the fa cup , some City fans haven't got their heads round the CL yet, but i think once we start doing well in it views might change.

What does being a mod have to do with anything? I'm entitled to express my opinion like any other poster. The club is slowly but surely becoming everything we've always hated about the rags. And our fans are becoming the arrogant, entitled bunch their fans are. City, City ra ra ra.

You've changed. You remind me of David Conn..hope you don't go the whole way and morph into Colin Shindler. I used to look out for your posts but it's like someone else is using your monica. Not that much has changed in the last couple of months to change us as a club. Pep is coming soon..think positive.

If it's a wind up you've been on it for the last 8 weeks :-)

Yea, this is a similar impression I get quite often from match attenders.... Money to burn springs to mind.
As long as they can afford it fuck everyone else.

I'm happy to pay for my ST, i can just about afford it.
But I rarely ever attend aways these days now and gave up CL home games awhile back due to the piss poor tourist atmosphere and pricing.

I usually attend the matches at the minihad now... They are usually free for ST holders, or around a fee quid and the football is decent level to watch.
Plus no tourist cunts on their selfies

If it makes Richie Rich feel he's the best city fan in the world because he can attend then fair enough... I'm happy watching the Academy lads develop and back my club that way.

They've given us nothing. We've paid for it, year after year. I reckon we put in around £100m a year through tickets, merchandise and other things.

Seriously mate? How can you say the owners have given us nothing? Don't get me wrong I'm sure they will want a return on their investment and maybe that's what's happening but you can't say they haven't transformed the club.

Can't get over them fleecing fans mate.
As Bugysblue suggested now is the time to move on. The second leg is a huge match and there is much more good overall at CITY than almost anywhere else so come on lets put aside for now gripes and get through to the Champions League semi finals.

Of course they have. But they haven't done it out of the goodness of their hearts or because they felt sorry for us. They've done it to promote the image of Abu Dhabi and to make a return on their investment. As much as they may have "given" us, they've taken other things away.

Calling us all rags cos we dont agree... the fuck is he on tonight

Do you know. I felt nothing at the final whistle. I really couldn't give a shit about the CL, even though it's clearly important to the owners.

What makes people think it's so important to the owner?

I hear it on the BBC all the time, but there's no real evidence of it.

I mean yes we sacrificed the FA cup this year - but that was half protest at fixture congestion, half for the C1C final and also I'm sure the players and manager desperate for CL success.

I don't recall Khaldoon, let alone Mubarak ever specifically say we want the CL - Mubarak usually says we want to be up there with the best teams in the world, and you assume CL success is part of that, but it seems like most of the sentiment that Mansour is desperate for a replica CL trophy in his office comes from the fact Abramovich wanted it and of course all rich owners are the same.

Anyway it would be weird to have great emotion at the halfway point of a tie, but I was ecstatic when Hart saved the pen, jumping for joy when KDB scored and swearing like a sailor when we conceded, so Obviously I'm not in the "I don't care" camp.

Absolutely, I'm glad they did but plenty of blues are utterly deluded about the reasons why they took us over.

Spot on. If they'd charged the same as Kiev we'd have a full stadium roaring the side on.

£20 - £40 isn't even cheap but we'd have 55,000 blues willing us into the semis.

As it is we'll probably have 10,000 less than that and half of them will be half and half scarf wearing tourists more interested in taking photos than supporting the lads. Shame.
Any Blues who want to go to the second leg will make sure that they will. It was £52 away at Norwich and it`s £40 at home in the Champions League last 8 against PSG for the first time.

Huge shame. Might just watch it on the tv and hope we get to the semi. I'll pay 50 quid for a semi.
Well, it`s your choice as most things are in life to a large extent. Sit there in hope or help to make it happen. It`s up to you. I hope you are happy with your choice.
