Get to the Etihad for the 2nd leg!

Well said.
Dont't get this tourist bollocks , if there are 10% tourists and 5% PSG , the 85% should sing their hearts out , no excuses , for the old pensioners , put your flask away , take the blanket off your knee , spit out your favourites toffee , and for the young uns , put your phone , camera , selfie stick and ipad away and get behind the f*cking team.

The price only seems to be an issue when it's at home. Why are people willing to pay around £70+ for an FA Cup semi final but are livid at a £40 cost for a champs league quarter final. If we somehow made it to the final, tickets are likely to start at around £100 but you can guarantee absolutely everybody, including the ones that are not willing to pay for the quarter final tie, that are given an opportunity to get one would jump at the chance to pay that and more for one.

As for thee "type" of crowd we'll see next week, The Kiev prices were cheaper but it was still full of tourists even in the so called hardcore sections of the ground. We'll sell out one way or another and the place will be rocking next week. Lets pray for a performance to match it. This could bee our greatest night at the Etihad to date £40 to be there is very reasonable in my eyes and i'd guess it's the one of if not the cheapest priced game of the round.
Do you know of anyone that has been prepared to pay £70+ for the away leg, but not happy to pay £40 for the home leg?

I suspect most at the game tonight will be there next week.

And how many of the 20000 will go to genuine fans once the corporates are sorted?, it's a bent completion and a bent organisation running it.
I reckon everyone on the CL cup scheme who wants a ticket will be able to get one. It'll be a rip off though.

Ha ha. I was always embarrassed to only go to a few games a season. By the time I could afford a season ticket i was always working away. Now i cant afford it again. Football fans seem loaded to me. I guess we all live on different budgests.
Yea, this is a similar impression I get quite often from match attenders.... Money to burn springs to mind.
As long as they can afford it fuck everyone else.

I'm happy to pay for my ST, i can just about afford it.
But I rarely ever attend aways these days now and gave up CL home games awhile back due to the piss poor tourist atmosphere and pricing.

I usually attend the matches at the minihad now... They are usually free for ST holders, or around a fee quid and the football is decent level to watch.
Plus no tourist cunts on their selfies

If it makes Richie Rich feel he's the best city fan in the world because he can attend then fair enough... I'm happy watching the Academy lads develop and back my club that way.

It's not been my favourite competition but I put that down to getting up season after season at 2 and 3 in the morning hoping to see the rags lose but more than often they scraped through and then had all the luck with the draw.

That said If we do get to the final I would probably pay a small fortune to be there.

Everyone talks about the £60 tickets. It's not obligatory to buy a ticket in the most expensive part of the ground. £40 behind the goal. Do people think £40 is too expensive? I know not everyone can afford it but £40 for a Champions League quarter final is absolutely fine by me.
Christ, I paid £40 to go to Birmingham City away in 2004!

I agree with all of that, get more enjoyment watching the young lads this season than the first team.

I dont have a season ticket or a membership and yet I got a personally addressed fancy flier through the post try to get me to buy a ticket. I dont see how they have got anything over anybody.
That was before tonight's result though...

I dont think its a case of not caring about those priced out, but rather just trying not to criticise the club. After all, they have give us so much. Good point about the minihad though, defo gonna watch more eds/u18s/womens games next year

Good for you. Unfortunately the money thing is what it is. Tbf when i had a bit more i was no happier...now i have enough to eat & I'm fairly satisfied. Great you get to the academy...now you can encourage the stars of the future. I'm sure the club value your support their. Don't begrudge people with money though matey...someone has to earn it. My experience? More money....more problems. Enjoy Saturday....up the blues!

If Pb doesn't like it he doesn't like it. He doesn't have to have the Spanish Inquisition. Thousands of ST don't go to this and I'm sure some can afford it. They just mustn't be taken by it.

I like the football but I don't like the booing, no drink, tourists, selfies etc. I can see why people don't like it.

Yeah but really it not as bad as some say it is, tourist and selfies you get in the premier league too , and really grown adults should not let something like that worry them , my own son takes selfies it the modern age, I don't do it myself.
You had a load of Belgian tourist away at arsenal in the league which I thought was bad , so it's not just a champs league thing.
I like a drink as much as the next man/woman but surely we can go without an alcoholic beverage for 2/3 hours, the beer is usually shit anyway.
I lot of the problems people don't like about the CL you also get in the Prem , that's what I don't understand

That's why i used the example of the Fa cup semi finals we've been in over the last few seasons and not tonights match. those were not finals either so the "it's a one off" reason isn't valid there yet nobody even questioned those prices when we played United and Chelsea
