Top Four or final?

Obviously I hope we achieve both but, after last night, if you had to choose one of the following TODAY which way would you go? The question assumes United getting top four at our expense not West Ham.

1. Guaranteed Top Four but a quarter final or semi final exit.

2. 5th or below and a final appearance with a CHANCE of winning it and qualifying that way.

There are obviously other better (and more amusing) potential outcomes but which of the above choices?

30 odd pre-takeover years of deep rooted City induced conservatism has me leaning towards 1 and waiting for Pep to win us the CL. Many of you may be a bit more maverick?

So, cash out or continue to roll?

Winning it would be the best solution as we'll be in and in Pot 1.

But it's essential to get top 4 as the financial impact of not qualifying for the CL could set us back years and impact our recruitment.

You do not get into the Champions League by finishing fourth.

We need to avoid fourth and finish third by going on a decent run now and beating Arsenal at home!

We don't want fifth but we don't want fourth neither!

But even then, I'd rather win the CL than finish even second in the Prem. It's ALL about winning trophies, nothing else!

Well you sort of do.

You go into a play off which is neither a qualifier nor the group stages. The anthem is played which shows that UEFA regard it as nearer the CL proper than a qualifier.

I think Wenger would say you do get in by finishing 4th
