Thanks guys. Appreciate it. There was a mention earlier by Prestwich_Blue of the money for finishing positions in the Premier league too..(from Uefa). Is that seperate?

So that's something like £40m for us from the market pool and that's not including the fixed prize money, which is now a minimum £30m guaranteed I think.

Is it a separate pool for the Europa league or is it part of an overall pool? What I'm trying to say is if the Dippers progress then they will get a larger share of the Europa pool. Will that reduce what everyone gets from the CL pool or is it totally separate?

The Europa League has no impact on this. The market pool is purely for the 32 teams in the group stage.
 
If we win the Champs league does the 5th place in Orem get a place?

Yes 0.5M per group point, and also for progress. Here is last season's list from UEFA:

City got 45.8M euros
8.6M for being tin the group stage
3M for wins/losses in the group
3.5M for making the R16
30.7M from the market pool - 40% of the fixed England pool for being Champions, and a %age of the other part of it based on matches played.

Compare it with Arsenal, who had better results in the group but significantly less from the market pool (10% not 40% of part of the first part)

No. At best it's the top four plus the winner, if the winner finishes outside the top four. If we won the CL, Liverpool the EL and we both finish outside the top four the team finishing fourth would miss out.

The ideal scenario is us finishing fifth and winning the CL, Liverpool winning the EL and qualifying for the CL that way, while the rags beat us into 4th. We get in Pot 1 and the rags get Thursday nights.

It would be funny but 5 teams in the champions league instead of 4 would cost us a fair bit.

So I'll stick with finishing top 3, winning the champions league, seeing Liverpool and the rags in Europa and watching 4th spot crash out in the qualifiers.

Rags finishing above us is the ideal scenario with us being 4 points clear of them with 6 games to go ?
We could possibly/ideally win the champs league and easily finish 3 rd but you'd prefer us to drop points and lose games in the league and finish below them, sorry i'm not on your wavelength

No need to apologise bud. Not your fault you've seemingly got little intelligence and even less of a sense of humour. That's the hand life has dealt you.

Anyway, I've just done the figures, using last year as a guide, taken the increase in the BT Sport deal and assumed that every other country's TV deal has gone up 25%. If that's right or close to right then our deal is worth about 30% of the total of the £400m market pool. So the figures I've used would be pretty accurate in that case.
 
I wonder what gate receipts contribute in total? The semi final will be our 6th home game in this competition and we all know tickets aren't cheap for the later stages. It must be a good few million.
