I have been following the semi final ticket thread ,and was surprised at the amount of fans turning on each other. Fans who mentioned how long they had to wait and how difficult it was to get tickets were slagged of for not being in the cup scheme, fans who could not afford to go to many matches were called tourists .Instead of rejoicing the fact we are in the semi's against Real Madrid fans are at each others throats., looks like this is the sign of things to come .

It's a quintessentially British thing, we love a good fucking moan.

I can understand the frustration of fans trying to get tickets yesterday, it was really poorly done and to think you'd miss out because of something through no fault of your own must of been infuriating. What I can't understand is people who saw it as an opportunity to stick the boot in and wind them up.

People frustrated that they are struggling to get tickets for arguably our biggest game in the last 45 years. Understandable if you ask me, shouldn't be at each others throats but everything would be fine if the club had done a better job in keeping operations running smooth.

Not a sign. Crept in faster than even l would imagine over the past few years. And the end result shows off within the Etihad.

Much the same in the PSG ticket price thread. The I'm alright jack brigade on here is growing!

There may not have been a walkout protest, which I wouldn't have agreed with anyway but I think enough people made their feelings clear by emailing the club, 1894 group, on here, for the club to take note and do something about it. There is no other reason for the club lowering prices for a more important match. The people who took the time to voice their concern to the club should be thanked not have the piss taken out of them by the "the club can do no wrong, I am a blind follower" brigade.

Various reasons.

you get many calling other people points whores and saying they cannot get tickets but thry do not join the cup schemes which guarantee tickets easily for home cup ties

you get many who will moan about lack of points but then will not be at Chelsea or Newcastle when it easy to get points and a ticket

you get many slagging supporters clubs who do many good things

you get many who go along with the ride but end up getting slagged for apparently missing the past

you get youngsters moaned at for singing and chanting in a concourse

you get called if you question ticket prices

anyone who started watching after 2008 is a jcl

the above are examples

People on the cup scheme playing the bigger blue card, nothing new, ignore them, sad and pathetic.

tbh its frustration more than anything and after all it not the fans fault its clubs fault for making a total fuck up yesterday. what cause the frustration, but agree blue on blue isnt nice for sure

Thank you for bringing that one up.

The supporters club had been speaking to Danny Wilson about pricing of the semi final, after the PSG prices were announced.

They had also asked the club to consider giving extra discount to those on the cup scheme or cityzens that had been to prior CL games this season.

I've been glancing at the the thread over the last couple of days so might have missed the posts but I can't say I've read many on the cup scheme playing the bigger blue card?
What card is there to play? It doesn't cost anything to join. I'm on it but there's plenty of City fans on here who aren't who I'd consider bigger fans than myself.
The simple fact is we've got plenty of gobshites in our fanbase just like every other football club in the country. The problem is the gobshites tend to make the most noise.

I'm on it because of of the prospect of games like Real Madrid. Hassle-free. It would be more popular if there were bigger discounts for scheme members.

Earlier rounds we couldn't sell out so City should be looking at bolstering numbers on the Cup Scheme.

I didn't mean everyone on the cup scheme pal, the forum in general is getting very toxic

I know this is a pop at me but I will always say it as it is.
I hate plastics (main reason for hating rags) and gloryhunters. yes we get far away fans but odds are they've been following us for years, years we were shit. no glory hunting just a dedicated passion to follow city. i'll admit I wouldn't have done it. I am lucky as I live so close to the stadium.
my beef is simple and i'll throw this question out there. why was it that the games v juventus, kiev even psg hull and so on didn't attract this sort of chaos ? my guess is that fans couldn't be arsed. if its a money thing how come they can afford this? how come there is nobody with a dentist appointment? fact is they CHOSE to miss those games. now that's fine but don't then come on here moaning about difficulties obtaining a ticket, or slagging the club off. the club have provided us with a fantastic team and a fantasic stadium, they must look at our support and think "what the fuck have we done". when pep comes this type of game with become commonplace. get ready.

No worries mate, I know you wasn't referring to everyone. I've been busy the last couple of days and that thread went haywire yesterday so missed plenty of posts. It's a bit sad that people turn on each other when it should be an occasion to savour. Such is life.

They used to do this from memory. They would almost say...if you are on the cup scheme you will pay £90 for the three group games or something along those lines.
