Gosh, that explains everything. Thanks GDM.I wouldn't be remotely surprised to discover he's been completely stoned, nonstop, since July 2013.

absolutely 100% true.
The injuries have been bad but I am talking about management in any industry having total accountability for when objectives and goals are not achieved. His record in the Premier league the last two seasons has been poor. We have not looked like challenging for the title in either. And for the record, I don't think he is 100% to blame. Our Director of Football has to share that, as he has performance management responsibility for Manuel. So Pellers is 100 percent responsible for us winning the Carling Cup, being in the semi Final of the Champs League, being third in the table (we probably should be higher) and having the worst injury record involving key players in the last 40 years?
You know what i keep reading these injury post, you'd think we were putting a reserve 11 out for the last 18 monthsSo Pellers is 100 percent responsible for us winning the Carling Cup, being in the semi Final of the Champs League, being third in the table (we probably should be higher) and having the worst injury record involving key players in the last 40 years?
I imagine he loves Wembley wins and getting into the CL semi. What he probably dislikes is seeing his team struggle in the competition the vast majority of supporters want to win the most. Not just struggle in fact but not come close for two years whilst playing some of the poorest football possible. You mustn't like Wembley wins and Champions League semi final then?
Maybe we shoul bring back Steve Coppell?
Couldn't agree more with youThere's criticism and there's bile. Sadly we have too many fans on here not capable of the former. He does deserve the former, no one should be receiving the latter imo
You might want to lock this then if we drop out of the top 4 and those gobshites over the road overtake us! :-)Couldn't agree more with you
Discuss his inane tactics, his poor motivational skills and his bizarre selections but
NOTE
Cut out the personal abuse from now on
He's going in seven games so there's no need for it.
What, you mean like all the other manager threads? Can't see it myself......You might want to lock this then if we drop out of the top 4 and those gobshites over the road overtake us! :-)

You can never have enough manager threads on the go.What, you mean like all the other manager threads? Can't see it myself......
You may aswel say that abt player threads thenCouldn't agree more with you

No one is fair game, any comments that are deemed to cross the line will be dealt with.CheersYou may aswel say that abt player threads then
Ive read some proper abuse this week and most of the season from half the forum
So is the manager off limits as the players seem fair game?
Neither are fair gameYou may aswel say that abt player threads then

Tbh if blues want to call players i dont care, up to them, it was more a pop at the manager should be fair game too if the players are on here.I was shocked and disgusted with the abuse against Kolarov on here after the Newcastle game, I thought to myself no wonder we are called Bitter Blues.

No, the point was that if the whole group, or the majority of the group are demotivated, the manager is responsible. Whatever the industry.
A manager's job is to get the best performance they can out of the people who work under them. We can argue about team selection, tactics, recruitment etc and everyone will have a different view.
But those that are blaming the players for "not giving a toss" or "not trying" for the last 2 seasons are missing the point. If the majority of the players are demotivated, it is absolutely the manager's responsibility.

If we have players for whatever reason are performing below standard it is Pellers responsibility to remedy that. Its also his responsibility to pick a team where players are comfortable in the role. He was supposed to be responsible for integrating youth into the first team squad - another objective he has failed. Principled man, very average coach.

Do you forget how fuckin awful we have been and still putting out near enough full strength sides, you can use the injury excuse at times but don't fuckin milk it.

We don't need Coppell back, we need a manager who lives and breathes the game and is capable of taking the squad up a level or two. Not someone who's made the same mistakes over and over.
