The battle for 4th place

It isn't just the rags as already mentioned. If we lose next week we could be in serious trouble as West Ham can also overtake us with their game in hand being United! We would literally be relying on that game being a draw! United have Norwich next week and West Ham have got Swansea. Both now that they have a sniff should win those games.

Instead of closing the door today, Pellegrini has opened it for his own selfish means.

We have to beat Arsenal now it's that simple but 4 days after what will surely be a draining game in Madrid when they have had all week to prepare is just the worse case scenario for us.
 
Has to be full strength now for last 2 PL games even if we do get to the final.

If we had to play the lot from today then we wouldn't be getting top 4

you are also ignoring the factor of what the semifinal could do to this team - the manager has put all his eggs in one basket....which will be int he minds of the players as well...get knockd out on wednesday and their is a strong possibility that their heads will drop completely and i don't trust MP is good enough to pull them out of that.....

if we somehow get through to the final then it could make it even harder for us in terms of league performances as we could well see two more shit displays like we have just see today (to go with many other shit displays we have seen all season due to failure to prepare,, tactical stubbornness and complete predictability of how MP will set up the team)

They don't have to play Palace, they are done with that game.

And if United don't it's West Ham we have to watch as they're a team who can easily beat United and they have Swansea home and Stoke away other than them and are on 59.

eh....we have 64 pts with 2 games to go (Arsenal and Swansea)

utd have 60 with 3 games to go (norwich, West ham and Bournemouth)

i think we will lose vs arsenal while utd will beat norwich if they play like they did today

thats puts them one point behind us.......we need west ham to hammer them (forgive the pun!) so they are one point behind us still going into the last games ...

They have bournemouth at home we have Swansea away - we have to win that one...which with the way we are playing i wouldn't be confident of with MP making the decisions

we need favours from other teams..which is never a good position to be in.

MP has really fucked this season up

Actually its 6 and 7 points and we will probably have to win our last two games to ensure we finish 3rd.

Maybe 4 points from the last two games will be enough for 4th.

Today aside, with a very much weakened side, our form has been excellent of late, better than theirs in the league.

We wont play some of those players again.

Erm, you do know that in your hypothetical situation West Ham would jump above us and be in 4th going into the final day..
 
Sacking a man who has no interest in finishing top four would help. He's sacrificing the clubs future for his own ego. He really doesn't deserve to manage City for the 2nd leg of the champions league.

And if he does he will probably go 4-4-2 and get absolutely anihlated, so in the following prem game he will go 4-4-2 again to prove it does work, he will get anihlated again so he will try the following week...

The GD will class as an extra point. Do u remember when we won our 1st title? How did we do it again? If we drew both our games we would have 66pts with a huge GD over Both the rags & West Ham rags would require 7pts where as West Ham would require 8.

Much like he would get annihilated at Wembley off Liverpool and in Paris by PSG and then at home to them, then Madrid last week...............

He isnt get sacked.
 
This next week is going to drag. Win 2 games and we're in a CL final and top 4 nearly secured.

Lose them and.. Well let's not go there.

im not so sure about that....one injury to run and with no silva for a few weeks......we won't have much option
