watching all the action and plans west ham have , anyone remember our last game , a dismal defeat by southampton then a shite oasis tribute band followed by badly drawn boy , pretty pathetic when you think back !

Apart from a win what would you have wanted? I was going for the football, couldn't of cared less what band they put on afterwards

I like Badly Drawn Boy but when he shuffled out to the middle and started playing laid back acoustic folk you had to laugh.

Wasn't it worse than an Oasis tribute band though - wasn't there some kind of Blues Brothers tribute shit? I remember everyone speculation Noel Gallagher would perform, and then we ended up with that..

I don't recall Sky giving Maine Road a TV tribute and making a special programme about it's history.....

But we never single handedly won the World Cup for England whilst simultaneously blowing bubbles and singing 'Any Old Iron' did we!

Didn't the blues band get a round of "who the f**k are you" or along them lines?

this is the one the Doves sang

I bought a ticket out side of a season ticket holder but didn't get the seat numbers, spent the first half in the bogs after i ran away from the stewards, then the second half at the back of the kippax(level1).

Have to say i shed a tear at the end

The game before when we beat Liverpool at Anfield was more memorable .
We also stopped Liverpool from getting champions league football .
A far sweeter day that than the last game at Maine Road .

I still divert most mornings on the way into work past where Maine Road used to be, the old City shop/store building has only recently been demolished, I still miss the old place (with the old proper Kippax!).

Brought a ticket outside discovered it was out of a stolen season book in the main stand. Ended up in the radio commentary box at the back sat next to who else? Stuart Hall!!

I still have a bottle of unopened white wine, from the exec boxes in the Umbro stand from that game...probably tastes like vinegar now!
