Before the Chelsea scenario everyone on here would have taken him. You rarely get centre halves of his age being stand outs in the premier league. Watch our game at Goodison at the start of the season. He was excellent and we were flying at the time.

He's another overrated young English player living off a reputation he hasn't earned.

He's one of the primary reasons Everton are a shambles defensively, he is culpable in that fucking mess too. Laughable that people on here are trying to absolve him of any responsibility for the shambles at the back that Everton are.

If he was being linked to the rags at £40m-£50m we'd be laughing our tits off.

Those who don't want him, in my opinion, are just not willing to accept that themselves.

I'd sooner give Denayer the chance than spunk another £40m on another shite centre half that's far from the finished product but may eventually become something worth relying on.

Stones only real standout ability is playing it out the back (when he isn't giving it away in key areas), that's a strength to Denayer's game as well.

Denayer deserves his chance.

You might be right but stones doesn't looks like he is any better than the ones we have bar demi and considering the price tag it just doesn't make sense
