Is that going to be an additional player or just someone here already?a leader & new captain. Kompany has been absolutely fantastic but is far too injury prone.
Pogba
Alexis Sanchez
A centre half,Laporte
We go from there.

I'm not sure you can just buy that. But Joe Hart is the only candidate we have to potentially replace Kompany as permanent captain. Is that going to be an additional player or just someone here already?
Yeah, think he starts next season as captain.I'm not sure you can just buy that. But Joe Hart is the only candidate we have to potentially replace Kompany as permanent captain.
The near perfect starting 11:
Hart
Sagna Kompany Otamendi Rodriguez*
Kante* Pogba*
Sanchez* De Bruyne Isco*
Aguero
Very strong team but should cost us upwards of £200m
If we are playing fantasies (with Pogba and Sanchez there), then you wouldnt have Sagna as our starting RB.
i'd like to see your more 'realistic' guess of next seasons squad but from the rumors making the rounds, I reckon there is nothing in that list that suggests wishful thinking. Pogba has been in out radar for quite some time now and I'm sure many wouldn't doubt that if we put big money on the table the player will be ours. What other sign do you want asides the player openly professing his fondness with the idea of playing for Pep. As for Alexis Sanchez, I said it last summer and I'll say it again, he is one player that is on the level of our aspirations and if we turn his head around and win him over as we did Kevin, neither the fury of arsenal fc fans nor hell unleashed would prevent us from signing the lad. I'm also glad that there are rumors (whether or not they are true is unimportant) that talk about his discontent at Arsenal. Finally, Sagna is the number one RB in the French national team if I'm correct and he had more than justified his place in the team. He's got limitations but it's hard to find a team without one. Because we have struggled defensively this season, I wouldn't mind a 2 that can actually defend. So I say to you, wake up and smell the coffee. We're more ambitious than you realize. If we are playing fantasies (with Pogba and Sanchez there), then you wouldnt have Sagna as our starting RB.
Staying senior players may not take too kindly to that.Like others have said Hart appears to be the only current player who could become captain. I accept its not ideal as he is not an outfield player.
My wish would be to see Pep bring a captain in with him. Someone who would have the respect of others but importantly, the desire to improve himself as well as those around him. I don't know a name though, hopefully Pep does.

If the rumours are correct and we have about £200m to spend i will go for:
Pogba £80m
Gundogan £20m
Laporte £36m
Sanchez £50m
Denayer - back from loan
With this signings and guardiola in charge we will be top 3 in the world!
Where is £200m rumoured? Has any team spent that in one window.
L
Last summer we wasted almost £150m and with the profits from the chempions league, and the TV money this summer its impossible mate?
There's no-one else, not even amongst the players we've been linked with, that i can imagine as our captain.Hart never bollocked a team mate in his life. And there are plenty of times he should have.

Captain by example maybe, but he's not very vocal?Fern?

In fact when you think about it it's really something missing from the squad, we used to have a few, but they've been phased out. Only Kompany and Zabaleta left this season.
