It is utterly bizarre the whole thing. The competition may have been poor this season but for a team of 5000-1 outsiders who escaped relegation the year before to win the league by TEN points and only lose THREE games in the process is remarkable. Also where did their huge turnaround in form suddenly come from at the end of last season? The same squad of players and manager go from being relegation certainties to suddenly finding a magic winning formula and finish 14th. Something is very odd somewhere.

Amongst all the celebrations in that weekI am sure I heard Vardy say to Ranieri on the pitch as he hugged him, ''Nobody knows'' with a big grin. It is not sour grapes at all but surely people must be finding what happened a bit odd?

Yes.

I like my conspiracy theories, but the way they have achieved this is a little too smelly to be a conspiracy. In fact I think it's a racing certainty that some of that squad have been 'enhancing their performance'

It's a quite remarkable turnaround.

I know next to nothing about betting but can someone tell me why a team finishing 14th last season, ie mid table, would be made 5000/1 to win the league?

And does anyone know what the team finishing 17th and 18th last season were quoted, or am i missing something here?

And does anyone know approx WHEN the odds for leicester to win the league were set..was it when they sacked their last manager early summer, or when canny claudio was appointed on the 13th july
or was it when everyone saw how shit their pre season performances were late july?

Spoke to a Blue from Rotherham and his lad who i travelled down to Swansea with, asked them if leicester looked like potential champions in the pre season game at Rotherham, the lad who is 8 years old and his dad both burst out laughing and said no.
God knows what canny claudio did for that team in those three weeks of training, but there was no sign of it at Rotherham pre season.

Lads, lads, lads! Stop it! Youre embarrassing yourselves. I showed this thread to a load of prople on sitf yesterday, they supported many teams, including Man U, they were laughing their tits of at it!
You were shilo this year, but if sheik Yermoney buys you lots of pressies, you could be in the mix. BUT, I doubt it. Your man Pep has a shock coming, he's due a minger!

Apart from a few, most on here are happy that Leicester won it. But, if say Sunderland had won it after scraping relegation the previous season, I think perhaps you might be a little curious as well.

By the way, we were shite and still finished 4th, won a cup and got to CL semi. Not bad for a shite team.

As for your sarcy bordering on xenophobic comments...you can cut that out right away. Enjoy your success, but don't come spouting that shite on here.

Can't imagine the bookies gave Hull very good odds to win the PL this season.

Leicester had the fittest squad and suffered the fewest injuries in the league. Ben Dinnery said,"To have ten players play in more than 75% of the club's total game time is a feat almost as remarkable as their on field achievements. " The guy works for Physio Room.com

Well Sheik Yermoney rolls off the tongue a bit better than Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha. We had half a team out this year, and were changing manager. I'd like to see how Leicester would have done without Vardy and Mahrez. You'd have been nowhere.

Someone had to win it if it wasn't City so it might as well have been Leicester. Of course you deserve it. But dont start looking down your noses after 5 minutes. And as for presents, Vardy and mahrez came through your academy did they? MCFC can't win. We get abuse for having an owner who invests millions in the football club yet that is what every fan hopes for if they are honest.

Enjoy the Summer. I'd be amazed if you repeat this season again. You'll have injuries next season and a lot of distractions. You can't just walk out of the Cups if you're Champions. They'll be expectations and other teams will play differently against you. You might learn something next season.

I don't begrudge Leicester the title, but from a logical point of view, and it is, you have to question that type of turn around. It's unprecedented.

And remember this is a city forum, freedom of speech and all that, but there are ways and means...........

No problem, But the tone of thT post yelled jealousy.

Look mate there are bound to be people that are jealous of your team's achievement and as it's the internet then conspiracy theories abound. It's modern life.

Plus you'd better get used to it. We've gone from being love-able City, the great under achievers to public enemy number one because we got lucky with (IMO) the best owners in football and started winning stuff.

But as previously stated the vast majority of City fans on here and beyond, in the real world, are actually very happy for you.I started this thread back in December when it became clear that you weren't going away and here's my OP...

It's about time they had their own thread.

Good on em I say.

Realistic title challengers?

I remember Forest coming up and nobody gave them a chance until they finally won it.

Who knows?

And there are plenty like this in response.

When you beat (murdered) us at The Etihad it was a lesson in football and I was really impressed at the teamwork, tactics and skill... and I stayed behind and applauded your team off so we're not all bitter and jealous. Annoyed that we fucked it up, but not bitter. The best team won the league. They always do.

If you want to focus on the negatives then fine go ahead but don't misrepresent the majority view that you winning it is actually good for football.

So, enough with the petty insults. Yes we under-performed this season and frankly if we hadn't, you probably wouldn't have won it. So perhaps you should be thankful that we persisted with a lame duck manager. Can we have Kante please as a token of your gratitude? -) The next guy won't be such a push over, even though as you rightly say he's got a big job on his hands.

All the best next season. You'll find it hard to balance CL group football with the PL, not to mention the expense (if you actually attend games?) so let's see how you do with injuries and the inevitable need for squad rotation.

I wonder if this post is going to get circulated amongst your friends?

Shit, people on a website that includes united fans were laughing at this thread? I don't know anyone on here will live with the embarrassment. You doubt we will be in the mix next season? Interesting, anyone would think your freak season has gone to your head and you're getting a bit cocky. Well done on your title win by the way, enjoy the summer.

I have decided to forget about Leicester now. They will sink without trace soon enough.

why are you bothered what we say about you? i,d be off enjoying your title win rather than paranoid snoops on other teams forums. As most of us were happy you won the league instead of spuds or arsenal and certainly the scum, its hardly sour grapes..we were NOT your title rivals..just can,t believe how a crap team bottom of the league hits form in april, stays up, gets a cut of the biggest tv deal in history and then goes onto win the league. must be the high altitude training in Austria..oops!!
incredible. enjoy your title win, but dont come on here taking the piss.

the fittest squad, even tho they had two full days off per week last season, and had the unfittest squad the season before (until april). incredible.you become fitter by training, not by less training!!
must be the high altitude pre season training in Austria, which they began without a manager. incredible.

It has. They say thats much more like it

we coped fine without Vardy. Mahrez has been a passenger for most of the last third of the season.
