His appearance stats aren't anything special either, he averages about 30 games a season, is that because of injury ?

Shouldn't go near Rose, especially at the prices being mentioned here, Bertrand is the one, can play in a back 3/4/or5, quality player, English and be half Roses price. Easier to get to I'd guess.
