Haha they've just said on SSN that we are also trying to negotiate with him. I haven't seen a single link with him and us. Nice way for United to make out they beat us to him though.

They're right. He's been a big reason for Villarreal's defensive solidity this season, he's already class with the potential to be top notch. Hopefully Munich or Barca go for him (both need centre halves) and they get snubbed.

Hopefully they battle all summer over that one. Dinho and Willian made him look good at Shaktar, the big reason Dortmund dropped off was trying to replace Gotze with him and Gotze wasn't good enough for a top club (although he might turn that round yet.) Let's see how he gets on now away from Bender and Gundogan.
