If he's called it right he'll be the biggest ITK in history

True, but at 31 and 34 next season these 2 clearly don't have future football career to worry about.See what your saying and tbh, find it hard to disagree but I also think it depends where you are in your career. If City is likely to be your last big team then yes, most I suspect would stay put, but if you still have time on your hands and a career to play for, then sitting stagnant on a bench for a year might not seem that appealing.

They wanted someone who would try and grab the headlines back. Mark my words if he does not deliver they will turn on him big style and it will become a publicity nightmare. That's why he wants Giggs gone he is worried about a coup. If they had got Poch I would have been more worried longer term, as he could have stayed years and built a good long term future. Mourinho was told he would be offered the job by Woodward the day after United lost the first leg of the Europa league tie with Liverpool. Poch was a last ditch attempt by Ferguson because of how much he didn't want Mourinho getting the job. He though if he could convince Poch then he in turn could convince Woodward.
