i really should be somewhere else
we all know city are intent on bringing talent through the squad in the future and pep is a massive fan of young talent.

Who do you think will make the grade and big step up over the coming 2 years?

Personally really looking forward to seeing Roberts back fae Scotland in due course

Brahim

The Garcia twins

Jadon Sancho a few years after that

Not sure on defenders maybe Smith-Brown

Patrick Roberts, Angelino and Aleix Garcia for the older bracket and then Sancho and Ibrahim for the younger ones

Angelino is a given I think, but also Jack Byrne when he returns from loan. Watched him a few times for Cambuur and he is a Pep player if i've ever seen one. Killer passes, knows how to play his way out of trouble and puts a shift in going forward too.

Tosin and Humphreys are future regulars too. I can especially see Humphreys filling a sort of Micah Richards role where he plays RB or CB when needed.

Think Barker, Celina, Ambrose, Byrne, Tosin, Angelino and Gunn have an fair outside chance of making it.

Brahim, Sancho, Maffeo and the Garcia's will disappoint me if they don't.

Phil Foden and Bobby Duncan with Sancho for the future.

Humphreys isnt up to it IMO,Tosin stands a good chance although our obsession with spending a fortune on centre halves every season wont help his cause.....

I agree,Byrne is as close as anyone, along with A Garcia and Roberts(on his return).

Angelino and Maffeo will be assessed preseason but i fear neither will be deemed good enough,Maffeo probably needs another 12 months.

Brahim is special obviously,he will definitely break through, probably in 2017/18 but don't rule out sooner.Sancho and Campbell will also be banging on the door.

One player i was very excited about was Boadu, but he's disappeared off the radar with injury unfortunately - i really hope he can get himself back as he was a real attacking midfield force.

Can t help feeling that it was a mistake to sell Denis Suarez , looked a proper player to me. Looked good for villreal

Agree with a lot of the comments so far
He's been discussed to death on here Paul,it just wasnt working for him, maybe wriong time/wrong place.....his attitude was off and it was absolutely the right decision to release him IMO.

But whose door will he be banging on?

If we get one from each EDS squad as a regular 1st teamer it will be an amazing achievement, rest will end up in lower perm teams/championship .......only saw 3 games this season and from those games, any of them 'making it' will need to improve... a lot.

Just do the maths....if the best player is 1st team regular from each age group....in 11 years wed have a team from say 19 to 30 yrs old.... take away the doubling of positions and you don't have many left, add signings, playing past 30 etc and it shows how few we will ever see outside carling cup.

Hope so but kids having protracted contract disputes at his age neg me out.
I agree, but its a greed motivated society we live in,and, subsequently, its more to do with their parents/advisors IMO.

Campbell is a talent, thats widely known, such a fact leaves his camp in a strong negotiating position in regards his next deal.

You and I both know that I'm an old fossil but when I read about these advisors and pushy parents getting overly involved at this stage I question whether we will ever get any loyal dedicated service for our money from such players.

He is a talent but there's no doubt we have others in his position if he doesn't fancy staying.
