In stead of a 2 hour dull fest they should have gone the whole XFactor on this - Remain - Billy Bragg singing Sexuality and Leave - Half a Shilling singing Send the Buggers back then go to the audience vote.

In fact fuck it this whole process has become so fucked up use that line up and a premium rate phone vote - Ant and Dec can reveal the winners after the news at ten then we all get on with our lives. Wankers the lot of 'em

The remain argument debate is all guess work no one knows how it will effect us remaining we know where its heading and how it is.

Isn't that the whole crux of the problem because the leave argument is also all guess work.

For those of you thinking or have voted brexit lets just hope you don’t realising that you’ve been conned. This is a fake revolt against the establishment is a con of the worst kind? Since when did the elite lead a revolt against the establishment and when did the establishment i.e. the mail, telegraph and sun lead a campaign against themselves? Boris, Gove and IDS aren't interested in working class oinks why would they be leading a revolt?

Take a looks at the proprietors of the newspapers secretive businessmen with significant interests in keeping the UK at the centre of the tax havens without the interference of Brussels. Then there’s the politicians Boris only to happy to take a bonfire to your workers rights. Or Michael Gove a man who wants to privatise your NHS but will have the perfect excuse because we can no longer afford it.

The Brexit campaign has central message is control that’s control on immigration for those of you listening to the dog whistle politics enough then it’s about the Turks invading us immigrants taking our jobs. It’s all so easy to have a scapegoat that can’t answer back, even better when they don’t tell that you the whole truth. Like the fact the majority of immigrants are from outside the EU doctors, nurses and wealthy student paying to go to our universities. Also you see in this country we don’t have a proper manufacturing industry we rely heavily on our service industry and in order to export and make your economy grow you need to get people outside your own country immigrants to buy them. It’s this vile sinister politics playing on the inner racist, xenophobic in some of us that they have tapped into.

As so many people have said this is a once in a lifetime vote be careful you have read all you can don’t wake up with the hangover from hell on Friday.

Yeah, one thing for sure the country will go through a turbulence few years but we will come through it as a stronger country because history shows that.

Except we (the people) don't. In the general election, Clegg was saying an EU army was a fantasy whereas now it's a very real possibility.

Just repeating " Take Back Control " is NOT a plan......

They aren't able to make a plan as they aren't in government. If you're very interested, UKIP's manifesto at the last GE was an independently costed view of what we could do outside the EU.

So Cameron batting for remain is a cunning double bluff? Excellent, on like a good conspiracy.

theres no silver bullet tho

But just repeating an advertising slogan and saying this and that will get better is bollocks - I'd like to think that in the event of a win on Thursday then of Friday morning they would know what they were doing - not sitting down and saying " Oh fuck we actually won what do we do now.... "

Anyway, leaving Pam's pussy to one side, I'm just reading the so-called Five Presidents' Report put out last year by the EU. It's not actually called The Five Presidents' Report but its real title is "Completing Europe's Economic and Monetary Union". The authors were Jean Claude Juncker with Mario Draghi, Donald Tusk, Jeroen Dijsselbloem and Martin Schulz. They are the presidents of the main EU bodies, hence the "Five Presidents".

It can be found at: https://ec.europa.eu/priorities/sites/beta-political/files/5-presidents-report_en.pdf

Here's the opening paragraph in the introduction:
The Euro Summit of October 2014 underlined the fact that ‘closer coordination of economic policies is essential to ensure the smooth functioning of the Economic and Monetary Union’ (EMU). It called for work to continue to ‘develop concrete mechanisms for stronger economic policy coordination, convergence and solidarity’ and ‘to prepare next steps on better economic governance in the euro area’.
In other words, they want a single monetary and fiscal policy across the EU.

First couple of sentences in Part 1 (try not to laugh too much when you read it):
The euro is a successful and stable currency. It is shared by 19 EU Member States and more than 330 million citizens. It has provided its members with price stability and shielded them against external instability.
Yes - they really said that.

And there's more:
Europe’s Economic and Monetary Union (EMU) today is like a house that was built over decades but only partially finished. When the storm hit, its walls and roof had to be stabilised quickly. It is now high time to reinforce its foundations and turn it into what EMU was meant to be: a place of prosperity based on balanced economic growth and price stability, a competitive social market economy, aiming at full employment and social progress. To achieve this, we will need to take further steps to complete EMU. The euro is more than just a currency. It is a political and economic project.

And what are these further steps?
Progress must happen on four fronts: first, towards a genuine Economic Union that ensures each economy has the structural features to prosper within the Monetary Union. Second, towards a Financial Union that guarantees the integrity of our currency across the Monetary Union and increases risk-sharing with the private sector. This means completing the Banking Union and accelerating the Capital Markets Completing Europe’s Economic and Monetary Union 5 Union. Third, towards a Fiscal Union that delivers both fiscal sustainability and fiscal stabilisation. And finally, towards a Political Union that provides the foundation for all of the above through genuine democratic accountability, legitimacy and institutional strengthening. All four Unions depend on each other. Therefore, they must develop in parallel and all euro area Member States must participate in all Unions.

There's plenty more like this and it all sounds very reasonable and democratic but the meaning is quite clear. We will make the important decisions and tell you about them afterwards. But occasionally the mask slips a bit. Like here, for example:
Euro area Member States would continue to decide on taxation and the allocation of budgetary expenditures according to national preferences and political choices. However, as the euro area evolves towards a genuine EMU, some decisions will increasingly need to be made collectively while ensuring democratic accountability and legitimacy. A future euro area treasury could be the place for such collective decision-making.

Let me put that into English - we'll take the big economic decisions and we'll tell you how much we need you to raise in tax and give to us then we'll give you your spending money. How you raise it and spend it is up to you however, as long as you raise what we need and don't spend more than we allow you to. And that's going to be completed in the next ten years.

This isn't some made-up story or scaremongering. This is from the mouths of the people running the EU. So if you vote Remain on Thursday, be very clear what you're voting for.
