Labour / Tory Party meltdown Referendum fallout

The problem is that in 2010 the Lib Dems were damned whatever they did

1) Join with the Tories - damned for that ( as seen)
2) Join with Labour - damned for that.
3) Do nothing - be damned for not making a decision.

Joining Labour wasn't an option. The maths just didn't stack-up.
Anyway in light of what has happened since last years election they clearly did a pretty good job!

The Labour party was infiltrated by right/centre politicians long ago. With the Tories in disarray anyone who thinks this en masse walk-out has not been orchestrated to divert attention needs to pay more attention. When is the Chilcot report out ? Next week you say ? Corbyn will press ahead with a call for Tony Blair to face war crimes. Corbyn as PM will regulate the press and render Murdoch powerless. He will end the infinite funding of arms dealers. He is the establishments worst fucking nightmare and if all else fails to remove him as a threat to their wealth, expect assassination attempts.

I thought Corbyn was a fan of people with guns? Or do they need a balaclava as well

Does anyone think that Corbyn is about as electable as Michael Foot was ?
Michael Foot was electable compared with this clown.
Corbyn is about as good as a Chocolate Fireguard. I for one couldn't vote Labour if he is the leader under ANY circumstances.
Playing politics during the referendum was simply pathetic.

4) join a coalition but stick to your principles

I don't know whether to laugh or cry, it feels like a our political class on both sides are charachters in a comedy or parody sketch, in fact for anyone who has seen the marx brothers duck soup it feels like it's not far from that.

Not to be pessimistic but there has been a call for a government of national unity what that would or could lead to I worry.

Duck Soup......one of my all time favourite films.

As for the politicians, they're just a bunch of spoilt cunts. We've had a referendum in which one side has won by over 1.2m votes, and they don't like it. Not one of the cunts has any interest in democracy.

Is the correct answer. If they hadn't been so quick to abandon some of their core principles such as tuition fees, then they might have come out with some credit. Or if they'd just said, "We're not coming into a coalition. We'll back you on a measure by measure basis but not if you try to introduce x, y or z" then they might have emerged with some credit.

I take it you didn't tweet yours last week #ThankYouMP ?

My favourite marx brothers film

It does seem that they have been waiting for this opportunity to oust corbyn, and on the tory side dave doing one, boris and gideon going MIA is ridiculous, not one of them seems arsed that the country is in turmoil and about getting it sorted. Stop with the petty westminster bollocks and get on with running the country

Are you mad?

I don't know whether it's just my perverse, iconoclastic sense of humour but I find it hugely entertaining watching the political classes run around like headless chickens, stabbing each other in the back, because the great unwashed delivered a result none of them remotely expected.

It's like a bomb has been dropped and no one knows where to run.

Sure, but at some point it would be good for them to stop, and can you see any doing that in the near future in either main parties? We might have a ukip government if this carries on

Our politicians...this nation's pride and joy

It would be even funnier if they were not the one's supposed to be running the country.
