TV Series

Somebody showed me some clips on their phone yesterday. I instantly said "that has to be in Sudbury or North Bay".
Sure enough, it's filmed in Sudbury. "How're ya now?" was the give away. Typical Ontario hick talk.

I thought I was quite adept at accents/dialect etc, Letterkenny just twisted that notion...

Really enjoyed it though, mad as fuck!!!

Got around to watching 'The Comedians' starring Billy Crystal and Josh Gad playing skewed versions of themselves.

Some of it run-of-the-mill and some of it brilliant.

Hope there's a second series as they actually gel well together!

And if that's Billy Crystal's real wife in it (and I suspect it is), My Lord that woman is supple!!!!

About to start the living and the dead (bbc iplayer) and also American gothic.
Are either worth watching ?

So glad 'Ray' is back! Watched it last night.

The man is trying, but his Dark World is powerful! Love this poster for the new season...

And I'll tell you what Schreiber does a good job directing the first ep.

Good job, sir!

Great show, voight steals the show for me... Sad that Katy Holmes hasn't returned, had potential that storyline!!!

Voight is excellent, that's true, but the show would fall on its face if it just depended on his performance.

Schreiber's dark brooding to Voight's fluffy playful villain balances the show out.

Malcomson's 'Abby' always fighting to be with or away from 'Ray' is also brilliant and is 'Terry' and 'Bunchy'.

The only problem I have is the almost meaningless offering of the rest of the family.

But, you can almost bypass the whole dynamic for the
solid leads!

I do agree, whilst Voight steals the show, the others are excellent as well

As for the rest of the family, Bridgette and the continual storyline of how she looks and acts like their sister, will come up again and again, I expect her to at least try and commit suicide at some point in the story.

So glad Ray Ray is back...

I honestly don't see it with Ray Donovan. It's not like I didn't give it a decent chance either, I watched the whole first series and half of the second series before giving it up as a bad job. I just didn't care what happened to any of them. They could have revealed the whole cast was still getting bummed by the Pope and it wouldn't have registered on my give-a-fuckometer. Every single member of the cast is immensely dislikeable.

You are a cockwomble though

It's one of those shows that is desperate for a crossover. They should have merged it with Dexter and let him kill the fucking lot of them.

His wife and daughter can be annoying, but I like the brothers and dad, great characters for me and its a well written and produced show.

You can watch one of your vampire shows, which are more suited to your preteen intellect than proper grown up stuff.

Hahaha, you cheeky ****. The only thing I watch with a vampire in is Preacher and I'm still undecided on that.

I can see what you mean about how the first series went and I could have said the same thing.

I chose to ask why everybody and I mean EVERYBODY leaned on 'Ray' to get them through, whatever that 'through' was!

Tough ol' 'Ray' with his own Demons to dance with! He's a time bomb.

That's what hooked me.
