Racist incidents on the rise?

That isn't what he said.

"Hardly a surprise as the cunts now think 52% of the country agree with them"

Well said stony unfortunately this is the mentality of the far right knuckle draggers we have in this country/

So it was City fans responsible?
Did I say that? just stating the obvious hypocrisy, evident in the cross section of every football clubs fans who will turn up on saturday, cheer on our multicultural team, owned by a Middle Eastern group, wear a shirt with a foreigners name on the back, go for a Curry or Kebab, then spout the Jeremy Kyle style racist shite.

I give up....

It needs to be looked at in context. The headlines are saying that there has been a 57% rise since the vote. In the detail it says that there has been over 100 incidents since Thursday. If it's a 57% rise, it means there's usually around 70 in that sort of time period. This means there's been an extra 35 incidents in the whole of the UK which if spread evenly would suggest an additional one incident in an area with the population of Greater Manchester. Don't think we need to worry too much.

It fits in to the agenda being peddled by some of the media, that the people who voted out are either stupid or racist. All that shit before the vote that "not all people who vote Brexit are racist but all racists vote Brexit". They are still trying to push that to all the smug Guardian reading people, who want to stay in to show how unracist they are.

i was in asda on sat morning behind a polish couple in the queue at the till and the checkout lady asked if they needed help packing their bags, i thought fuck me its only been a day!

Jews are leaving France in record numbers because of racism.

Racism in Poland is far, far worse than here.

The UK is still a very good place for minorities to live, and will continue to be so after we've left the EU.

This was in the media yesterday. Overt racism is now white on white as well. How big a pinch of salt do you think is needed?

In the interest of equality - can we include a pinch of black pepper as well?

I don't want to be pedantic but the thread title should be Racists resurface
There is absolutely no proof whatsoever that the numbers of racists has actually increased by even one person. I accept that the racists who have been quite for years are coming out of the woodwork but that isn't what you said.

I was thinking more along the lines of 'Racists 2 - Racist Harder'.

I'll just leave this here. In Manchester too.

Pissed up scrotes mate that need dealing with no doubt but i take the behaviour of the majority on the tram as testament to how 99%+ behave and think in our country.

Is there a date on this video as well as it would be interesting to see if its post the referendum or before, not that it in any way excuses such behaviour.

Was filmed this morning. And the point isn't about whether they are pissed up scrotes or not. The point is that there will be a rise in this sort of behaviour in the coming weeks and months and a rise in race related incidents across Britain (probably across Europe too). Probably the most disappointing aspect of reading the thread about who voted which way is how many white Englishman could care less about the impact that the vote has had and will have on ethnic minorities in Britain because they might be a few quid better off in a few years time.

Its up to society in large to make sure this behaviour from a small minority is challenged and dealt with its that simple and that goes regardless of whether we are in or out of the EU.

I firmly believe that's exactly what will happen and i know that doesn't excuse what we have just witnessed, a criminal act that should be dealt with by the law.

I don't agree. I think that what you call a "small minority" is going to become more and more vocal. For all the millions who voted to leave because of economic reasons, there were at least an equal number of millions who voted to leave because they want their country back. The rise of the far right across Europe isn't something to be swept under the rug, but it currently is being done. We will pay the price eventually. Wait and see.

I agree on the rise of the right as well as the extreme left in politics and its been discussed on here.

That is the fault of the mainstream politicians and parties though as they increasingly ignore huge swathes of their respective public's and its something that has to stop.

The EU and those that run it and have the political dream of a federalist state also need to look in the mirror and ask how they can alter their behaviour to help stop the rise of extreme politics.

British politics has been in a bad way for a while now. The state of the country reflects that.

The manner in which this vote has come about and the reasoning behind it has little to do with mainstream politicians or political parties though. Their (leave) campaign was an overtly racist campaign which mobilised lots of people to vote. Now i've seen in the other thread as well that people are getting very very pissy if they are accused of being racists for voting to leave the EU. Well the reality is that their vote, whatever their own personal rationale, propped up the racist agenda of UKIP and Farrage. That is deeply disappointing for someone who is British by birth and by attitude, but who isn't white and who knows that their life in Britain will be irrevocably changed by this vote.
