Since everyone thinks we want Stones because of his footballing/passing ability rather than his defending..... it stands to reason why we aren't looking to buy someone whose strengths are when he hasn't got possession ;)

Doesn't he have a release clause of 20m pounds for CL clubs? If so Real could be all over that

Not linked to us, and not his position really, but... in a perfect world, I would kill to sign Marek Hamsik as a box-to-box midfielder.

The trouble with Kante is that as good as he is breaking up play and winning the ball, he's not great passing it on once the ball has been won.

Kante would give us defensive solidity and let our creative players play. He does not have to pass the ball far.

We desperately need another CM be it Kante or someone else.

We really can't go in to the new season expecting to compete in all four competitions with just ; Gundogan, Fernandinho, Yaya , Fernando and Delph. Especially seeing as Gundogan is injured, imagine if something then happened to Fernandinho. Wouldn't fancy going in to our champions league qualifier and to old Trafford with Fernando, Yaya and Delph!

Happy to see at least two of those go. For the price Kante would be a good signing, based on his performance last year.
