The next Prime Minister of Britain

BREAKING NEWS: Manchester United have offered Paul Pogba the Prime-Ministership of the UK. Talks are ongoing but a decision is imminent on Wednesday.

In other news, Jeremy Corbyn is set to be announced as the new Top Gear presenter, and Chris Evans has signed for Juventus.

Watch Leadsom get the nod and leave both parties with leaders the Parliamentry party neither wants or has confidence in. And one of them will be PM during a very testing time for the country.

It's going to be a hoot.

Loving the possibility of Leadsome being voted in by the members against the wishes of the parliamentary party.

Would be a glorious irony. Both parties led by their members might buck up a few of the careerists on all sides of the house. Democracy fighting back!

It would be funny apart from the fact that it will be a disaster for the country to have a weak ineffectual leader over the next two years and that is the impression you get from Leadsom.

Merkel and co will eat her alive. Can't stand May - hey I can't stand Tories - but she does seem the best option. Our unelected and unrepresentative ruling council have had their brains eaten by the EU worms and won't see beyond Leadsom's sunny if vacuous optimism. All she has to do is sing Land of Hope and Glory at each meeting and the keys to No 10 will be in the handbag.

Still at least it's not the unelected jackboot of the EU elite pulling the strings. It will be General Melchett, Mrs Daily Mail and Tory boy. Makes you proud to be British.

Leadsom did well in the debates, but that required her to demonstrate about 5% of the skills required of a PM. Apart from that, what reason is there to believe that she would be any good at the job? It would be like a company interviewing an unknown for a senior post and giving them the job after they'd answered the first question.

I am stunned after reading about leadsom and the lying the last few days she has been doing, that she is getting such an easy ride from our press in comparrison corbyn has been hammered for the off.

If either wins the leadership then a GE needs to be called especially if it is leadsom as a tory party lurching to her hard right viewpoint I doubt would have the backing of a lot of the populous, just as jezza and his left wing wouldn't

Nothing democratic about self appointed, self interested members paying to elect a leader, ahead of mps that have to stand by there decision and be elected by the country. Pay your membership and appoint the prime minister, not my idea of democracy.

Some more details of Leadsome's CV have emerged.

Leadsome herself says the scrutiny is "ridiculous" and she never had this problem when she was an astronaut.
