If proven the Murdoch rag The Times is misquoting Leadsom over her claim saying she's better qualified to be a PM as she's had children. She'll get more support from grass members believing she's being stitched up.
They've released the audio which backs up how the interview has been reported. It seems that Leadsom is really complaining about the headline accompanying the interview rather than the interview itself.
Leadsom starts that part of the interview by saying that it would be really horrible to make an issue out of her having children but May not. But then she goes on to do exactly that!
Leadsom is a fucking shambles. What she said in the interview was poor, her reaction to try to sort out the mess was even worse. She's only truly been in the spotlight for a couple of weeks and she doesn't appear up to it at all. God knows how she would stand up to the proper test of running the country when she doesn't seem able to negotiate the first couple of weeks of the leadership election without things unravelling. She seems to lack the composure and gravitas required IMO.
