Marquee signings, huh? Bonucci, Kroos and Suarez are marquee signings. As talented as they are, I wouldn't call Sané, Jesus, Moreno and Stones marquee signings per se.

most prized prospect of the World champions, the best (only?) English defender that can pass, the 'next Neymar'...marquee is relative. We aren't going to sign 3 galacticos in the next 30 days.

How spoilt is that? We are on the verge of spending a world record fee of £50m on a defender, £40m on one of Europe's best prospects and nearly £30m on Brazil's hottest prospect.

All marquee signings.

Unless you would prefer someone like Zlatan, who is a big name but on a fat wedge and 34?
 
Marquee = established worldy. I think that is a fair judgement.

Aguero was marquee, so too debruyne...and gundogan.

Not spoilt one bit......my opinion is Stones,Jesus and Sane are not marquee signings.

You've lost touch with reality then. Ask any Arsenal/Chelsea/Liverpool fan and they would jump at the chance to sign those 3. Even Barca and Madrid were chasing Jesus.

I'm pretty sure the club would consider £45m on Sané and £50m on Stones pretty fucking "marquee".

I mean they'd both be in the top 15 most expensive players of all time.

I'm largely giving up on many of our fans.
 
We're linked with Sane, Stones, Moreno & Jesus. If we do sign 3 players soon it will be 3 of them, likely not Stones (yet) given all the rumours. People are taking "marquee" out of context, we absolutely won't be announcing we've signed Kroos, Bonucci & Neymar next week with somehow keeping them all totally under wraps with no sniffs to the media.

Personally will be delighted if we land the 4 we're touted to be in for.
