Positives

I thought the effort in the first half was good. Not cohesive but good all the same.
Going forward we looked ok. We created lots of chances. Poor finishing by Yaya and Navas (predictably) cost us a draw.
Aguero and Kelechi showing good goal scoring instincts and two good crosses for the goals

Negatives

Kolorov and Fernando at the back - shambles. Kolorov is just a shit player.
Playing the ball out from the back isn't going to work with these players and it seems either Pep abandoned it second half based on this or Hart just didn't do it. Hart is on dangerous ground for us and his performance didn't help him.
The effort in the first half faded and the pressing was poor second half.

This pre season has been once again poor. Too many miles and playing on shit pitches.

Let's hope the injured players come back and we have some proper defenders fit for next week. If not Toure would be a better option than these two as at least he can keep the ball and pass it.

Hope we can get a deal done for Stones after that defensive showing.

Like others have said what is it with Joe about diving to his left trying to save shots.

If shot stopping is his major asset then not being able to make a save down to his left is a grave flaw imo.

This time last year we got walloped 4-1 at Stuttgart.
We then went on to win our 1st 5 games...
However it could be a Keegan type season with our defence as it was today.

Just about to say the same mate (except it was 4-2)

It was a far worse team performance than tonight's

Pep having to tell the players to go over to the fans at full time. Tossers.

I saw that they shouldn't need to be told. It might only be a friendly but the usual failings still persist especially at the back. I hope I am wrong but I think it is going to be a long problematic season.

I think Kolarov, Zabba & Silva are all off the pace & it will be interesting to see how much they can improve. All 3 were responsible for the first goal along with Hart. Slva not pressing & the other two just too slow. The 3rd even though it was a dogshit pass from Tosin, it would have been an easy recovery for any of the usual cbs maybe even Demichelis.

Kolarov Zabba & Silva all look like they have lost 2 yards of pace over the past year to me.

Yaya who has supposed to be past it, looks yards ahead of all 3 imo.

I am hoping that Silva is just getting up to speed, but hasn't been himself so far. I actually though Yaya did well when he came on. It may take a little time but think Pep will have us at come match day.

posters on here need to calm down, its a pre season game....... id rather they make mistakes now then when we start. thought we had some good spells of posession and attack

Yeah laughable people saying we didn't need to buy a CB and just play him. He is nowhere near ready and throwing him in the deep end won't be any good for his career.
He might not be ready but as a unit Kompany, Mangala, Otamendi, Stones, Denayer and Bioyo should be great if we are going 3atb.

Hart played as if Pep hasn't even spoken to him. And he wasn't very good as a keeper.

Bit worrying, as I like him.

Players still need time to adjust to peps pressing game seen it today again, although some aren't getting it or won't buy into it,started off pressing then during the 90 mins dropped off numerous times. As for the defence we all new it was where we needed fixing especially CB and still nothing sorted with season a week off, having said that its a pre -season game and only our third one so let's put that into the equation ..

That wasn't good but Peps no fool. He won't put up with sub standard players - I can see another 3 or 4 coming in - including a keeper.

Think the whole teams look under cooked, but sure that lots of work during the week on the training will help, Bony left behind so expect some action on the John Stones saga this week. Agree Yaya looks trimmer and fitter than the last two seasons.

from the travels, to the late arriving in's, the non-existent out's, and the late arrivals from the Euros and Copa, the pre-season has been an absolute shambles. Similar to last years.
