I think we need an excellent midfielder too.

We'll still be relying on Fernando, Delph and an aging Toure. Not good enough for a team with champions league ambitions.

Gundogan will be good when he''s fit.
 
I'm genuinely shocked we haven't seen more links to a top quality CM. Fernando and Delph aren't good enough and yaya is too hit and miss nowadays.
From the looks of pre season we have Garcia, gundogan, and dinho to choose from. If one of gundogan or dinho is injured then what? Garcia has no prem experience whatsoever - that doesn't mean he isn't good enough, but we can't be certain how much of an impact he will have.
It's been a weakness for us for 2 years now. Gundogan will have a great impact, but I was convinced we needed another.

It's OK, we were all assured we have Nasri as a CM option.
 
Alex garcia might just save us 100m also think he will use silva and kdb in the middle when needed in
A 3 gudongan,diniho,kdb I would imagine would be his prefered 3 with delph,nando,yaya an silva as back ups and a.garcia
 
Once we get Stones over the line I think all that would be missing would be a CM but honestly can't see it happening unless we somehow offload Yaya. Think next summer's signings will be CM, fullbacks, and a keeper.
 
From this preseason game with Arsenal we definitely need a CM, CB and a LB.

Incredible that we're a week away from the start and still so much wrong with our squad.
 
Before this game I was hoping for us to pass on stones but fuck it we need him. Not sure why denayer didn't get any time back there today, no possible way he is worse than kolarov.
 
It's all very well buying for the future but we need a centre back, world class centre midfielder and left back ASAP!!
 
Out of all our signings this window so far, who is in line to play next week and be an improvement on last year?

You're right for me. Another CM, LB and at least 1, but probably 2 CBs needed.

Sometimes football is about the here and now.

Where we've failed in recent seasons is not improving the first XI. Gundogan, when we get him fit, and Sane should do this. The rest are project players.

More reinforcements needed.
