Listening to "The Football Show" on Sirius XM on the way to work and Charlie Stillitano just said that he was informed that City was very close to triggering Messi's release clause this summer. Certainly that had to be the "Boooom" the op was talking about.
While Messi is clearly the world's best right now, that would have been a ton of money!

We certainly tried 3 years ago but this summer I was told by one good and usually reliable source that we were after Suarez. Then another source who I know was absolutely kosher told me that it was Neymar's release clause we were going to trigger.Listening to "The Football Show" on Sirius XM on the way to work and Charlie Stillitano just said that he was informed that City was very close to triggering Messi's release clause this summer. ; )What if we put in a bid for half of Basil Brush?
Hmmm speaking to a pal last night who isn't a blue.....said he tried to put a bet on Messi to City in next 18months & the 3 bookies he tried wouldn't take the bet!!I have been told we are trying to make a big signing ( the lad who told me makes odds for a large bookmaker in relation football matches and transfers ) before the window close and am guessing its one of Neymar or Saurez .
Weather we get either is a totally different story
