Edit: I've just been on my jollies, 10 days in menorca. Lovely place. Met lots of different people out there. Got talking with lots of different fans. Manchester City - C

I can see what Man City are trying to do under Pep Guardiola but it's obviously going to take some time for them to get used to his methods. They didn't deserve to win but they did, so another positive there.

Gave us a C, but Sunderland a B.

And who was doing the grading? Dean Ashton. Enough said!

It's very hard to judge based on one game, but all I took from the United game was that Bournemouth are complete relegation fodder this year.

For an opening game at home that's got to be one of the worst performances I've ever seen.

That's okay, the vermin will be lulled into a false sense of security: they'll believe it'll be plain sailing and then when they come against a half-decent side we'll see the swagger disappear.

But as we all keep saying, it is only early doors and none of us will get an idea of how the season will pan out until around Christmas time, or just after.
