TV Series

I see no reason a second series wont be commisioned.

It was very good but the high standard dropped towards the end IMO.

I see no reason FOR a second season. That is the story done, IMO - annoys me when shows get more than one season just to cash in. TD, the Leftovers etc should have just been one season.

As for the ending

A bit anti-climatic, yes, but I think that was the point. That even a high profile case, un'solved' can be forgotten in a matter of hours once the trial is done and dusted.

Even if we went back, still wouldn't surprise me if he'd done it.

Fair enough but you can see the very obvious avenue that was left open should they wish to cash in,which, given its popularirty,i suspect they might.

The night of was based on Criminal Justice, the second series of that was a totally different story about a woman who stabs her abusive husband. The maker of the night of, has said he would like a new series but it would most likely be a new story with new characters, the easy option would be to adapt series 2 of Criminal Justice.

As old manky feet said near the end of The Night Of, there will always be another case to pick up.. (or words to that effect)

I think they'll do another season.

Writer and director of the night of:

In July 2016, Steven Zaillian commented about the possibility of a second season: "We're thinking about it and if we come up with something we all feel is worthy of doing, we'll do it. This was designed as a stand-alone piece. That being said, there are ways of certainly kind of taking what it feels like and what it's about and doing another season on another subject."

I started watching the night of on the weekend. Other than the 1st episode, I haven't been all that impressed.
I turned it off last night and went to bed. It was the final episode and there's about 30 mins left in it.
I think I know how it's going to end. We'll see if I'm right. I'll watch the rest of it when the wife gets home.

Going to be interesting to see if you were right about the outcome, not a typical ending to a who dunnit style show.

Anyone watched the Get down yet? Trailers look good

Yeah it's good! Tonally unsure of its self at first but then settles down and becomes a bit more fluffy and mainstream. Very enjoyable soundtrack throughout too.

Not in the same league as Stranger Things or Narcos but Netflix is smashing it!!!

I've just watched episode 1 of Wolf Creek. Tv spin off of the films from 2005 and 2013 (?)
Same actor as Mick the murderer. Looks worth a watch. The first 15 minutes were shocking. As in, shocking and not shockingly bad
