I remember something about this, if I remember rightly a lad was taken to court but it wasn't a city fan it was one of their own, his excuse was that it was thrown from the city end it stuck in his hand so has he tried to pull it out by waving his hand it flew out and hit someone [emoji3]actually one of his own, said mr billy bullshitter jackanory
Thought this happened at Anfield around 1977 thry lost1-3

First derby at Maine road
I got home to discover a sharpened 2p stuck in the shoulder area of my coat

With sergio out I really don't see how we are going to demolish them like some of these comments have been suggesting. However one thing we do have going for us is that mourinho has been a poor manager for some time now. Hopefully he is negative and sits back at HOME! giving us all the possession we like. If he also starts with fellaini and pogba in midfield I have no doubt we have already won the game. It's another long week before the derby thanks to these silly internationals and honestly I'd just like to get it out of the way. It's going to be a tough game going to theirs away and I would have been delighted two seasons ago but nowadays they actually have good players.

This is the time for sterling especially and nolito to step up. I'm not expecting much from Iheanacho and we shouldn't really pressure him. It's a big task for him going against bailly and blind. They will hardly give him any space. Our midfield should dominate the likes of rooney and fellaini ffs so I'm not even going to comment on that. Silva and de bruyne have enough composure against the likes of fellaini and pogba. If Zabaleta starts against martial I'm just closing my eyes every time he gets the ball. Should be Sagna starting especially for this game.

The FA really fucked us this time with the aguero ban. He alone used to crush them every derby. With players coming back and such I really have no idea how we might setup for this game. One thing I will miss is Yaya in this derby as he also used to be one of the biggest factors when going against them. This is definitely a new chapter for both clubs.

Half and half scarves are all the rage now half and half kippax was just a rage back then

------------------------Bravo------------------------
Sagna-------Stones-------Otamendi------Kolarov
--------------------Fernandinho------------------
----------Gundogan-----------Silva---------------
Sterling------------Iheanacho--------------Nolito

Sagna and Kolarov for their aerial ability.
Gundogan(if he's ready) over De Bruyne for better control of the game and more defensive cover from midfield.
Iheanacho upfront because he is our 2nd choice striker and Nolito has never played there.

Mou will look to target Ilkay's knees! He is a cheap bully who will do anything if it means he can keep up with Pep! Dont want Pep to risk Ilkay against Mou's thugs!

I will keep Ilkay in the bench and use him only if we absolutely need him.

I like this team. I would go for this as well.

I'm noticing a lot of posters that kept praising Iheanacho, suddenly don't feel confident playing him against United as they'd rather play a false 9... Hmmmm.
The boy's more than ready.

that's the Anfield Rd end

Don't think this match really has a favourite going into it. Both teams so far have maximum points and neither has played a particularly strong team. From the little I have seen of Utd they are pretty strong defensively but not that creative going forward. We have been pretty much the opposite being creative going forward but conceding a goal in every league match and have looked slightly shaky at times as we get used to the way Pep defends.
Can't see either Gundgogan or Vinnie starting after long periods out injured, most managers almost always ease players back slowly and I would hate to sacrifice eithers long term health for the sake of a derby. Looking forward to Bravos footwork as Willy looked decidedly shaky when pressured.
