Did we all see Rooney getting in some diving practice, ready for Saturday ?
So basically we agree. And my point is there is no helping someone, if they dont help themselves.
I am not saying those 2 are a solution to all the problems, more like a sticking plaster on a broken leg, but we cant completely reinvent the wheel in a month or so.
So basically we agree.
Allardyce isn't the real problem, its the whole English (British) system, Allardyce is actually quite an innovative coach (though I don't like the way his teams play - he might be hamstrung by what he has available), but he won't be allowed to not play Rooney, he basically said so tonight.
To the FA its more important to have the biggest sponsorship players, playing, and there seems little interest in developing the best talent, its been a shambles for 20+ years, it isn't changing soon, and its why I have little interest in England games, other than did our players get through unscathed, and I hope they aren't too influenced by what goes on in the England training camp.
I'm grateful that at City we have abandoned the 'english way', and are developing talent in the right way, and that we have a really good future to look forward to, something England might eventually benefit from, I might take more interest then.
Creativity seems to come out of desperation, rather than being set up as a creative team. The through ball seems to be the last thought, as there is nothing else on.
It is clear that Sterling is BY FAR better on the right where he can take on players. Then, BFS puts him back in the left in the second half for??? Before you know it, Walcott comes on for him and goes.....on the right!!!
England need Dier and Henderson (the new Gerrard?!) to anchor the midfield, as it seems like there is no-one else! Beyond that, Lallana, Dele Alli and Sterling look like the best young hopes across the AM line, with Walcott, Oxlaide Chamberlain & Rooney as alternatives. Up front, Kane is lost, Sturridge is an enigma (in the worst sense of the word) and Vardy is a rabbit in a team that needs a fox!
We look pretty solid from the back forward, but within 30m, we seem to run out of ideas. It is a problem ALL teams seem to face, but when faced with the problem, the answer is WIDTH...which is where the goal came from with an overlapping FB!
I have read the allusions to Pep, and while I understand what the poster(s) are getting at, it is a fairly stagnant, pedestrian version of the idea. Yes, England want to play with a deep midfielder slotting in between CHs, while the FBs come forward and in/out depending upon the player ahead. However, ahead of that the stagnation and running in your allotted channel, as opposed to the rotation and creation of space Pep demands are not in evidence. Is that the lack of quality of the players, the thoughts of the coach, or just the English mentality? Not sure it is not all three!!!
Think Lallana was the only spark until Dele Alli came on in behind the striker. Sturridge did his usual "wander around and shoot from anywhere whenever the fuck he feels like it!"
Didn't read the whole thread, but was there any discussion of the disallowed goal? Defender played it, so he must have been onside....or did I miss something that someone discovered???
By breakfast tomorrow, this will just be 3 points on the board. However, against a team that (SHOCKER...Skrtel was sent off!!!) were down to 10 men for a large part of the game, it was not particularly evident they were down to 10 men! With the player advantage, and control of the ball, it should have been a training match with their goal being peppered. There was MAYBE 5 mins of that, when Lallana hit the post and we had a few chances, but considering the gulf in supposed quality and the man advantage, the best that can be said is BFS got 3 points and England showed they will "fight to the end!" Beyond that, the performance will strike fear into no one!
We lack any passion, and we were not a "team", unlike the Welsh under Coleman.there is no reason why Wales can get to the Euros semis and we cant

How the Fcuk does Walcott get anywhere near a international squad?
Allerdyce isn't qualified to create a team that needs to break down packed defences, he has no experience in it - he is more suited to managing Slovakia
That said, with his defensive organisational skills, we might do something in knockout games
Still getting over the 'Brilliant' remark from fat Sam. Even the soppy West Ham fan can't have thought that, surely?
I suppose if you've not got eyes or the power to think for yourself then yes, it's great the manager has bigged him up. Otherwise it just comes across as treating the watching public as idiots.Nope. Didn't think Rooney was brilliant tonight - no harm in the manager saying it though, wants to credit the captain and keep morale up.
As I say though, performance and result doesn't matter. Fans will just slag off and moan about anything. Read some good posts on here about how the FA needs to restructure etc ... And all this being posted after a good win for a England, a good result away at a tough place, a clean sheet, a game we could have won 4 or 5 nil with all these shit players, crazy how this shit manager with a shit squad managed to win. Maybe they deserve some praise. Nah thought not.
I admire your backing of England mate.after all that's what being a fan is all about.Only saw the last 15 mins and heard a bit of the first half on radio 5 so can't really comment on the performance..Nope. Missed most of the match
Can anyone please give us a run down on sterling and stones performances, I'm aware Raheem was subbed.was that down to being ineffective.?
How was Stones defending and passing out from the back..?
If Jack Wilshire wasn't such a fucking twat shithead waster, he would walk into that team. There is lierally no creative talent at all in midfield, just Rooney pretending, & John Stones who is a better footballer than the various troglodytes who are supposed to do the job, but is a central defender.
What should happen is we should fuck off the next couple of tournaments, put someone like Eddie Howe in charge and dump everyone over about 23. Just keep trying kids from various reserve/youth teams until we find a bunch to go with Stones etc.
There is absolutely no point in trying to combine that bunch of neanderthals & Fat Sam into a tournament team. It is just a waste of fucking time. The best they will achieve if everything goes right, is failure without humiliation.
