And Phelan wins manager of the month?? There's a few teams who are unbeaten yet this twat wins it, suppose it'll put him in the running for the England job when it's next available as its more than most other English managers have won!!

Well tbf he's got 6 more points than anyone would really have expected so far.

Yeah, I think that's absolutely fine. First match, no players, beats the champions. Wins second match, last minute defeat at the swamp. No problem at all.

I see the public vote for PotM is only 10%, added to a panel of 15 'experts' and captains.

Nobody wants another Jordan Henderson moment, that was embarrassing for everyone concerned, especially him.

Very well deserved. Why did the mods delete his thread from last year? I want to see all the "proper blues" that said we should sell him and that it was silly to blame Pellegrini for Sterlings lack of contribution and laugh at them.

Thought the big nosed swede was nailed on , well done Raheem , well deserved , and well done Pep , he has worked wonders with him in just a matter of weeks , now can you work your magic on Yaya.

I can't believe some people wouldn't give Phelan the award. Both awards gone to the right men, in my opinion.

Re: Sterling - Keep it up, champ.

Been away from my phone and a radio all day. However I did hear the news on 5live at 4:30 to let us know Phelan had won!
Checked in here to see Raz got POTM.

There really isn't an agenda.....is there?

As said above the public vote only represented 10%.

Then it is the panel of "experts" as below and all the PL club captains.

Well done Raheem.

In deciding the winners, a panel of experts (see below) including Premier League legends such as Sir Alex Ferguson, Alan Shearer and Jamie Carragher cast their votes in all three categories: Barclays Manager of the Month; EA SPORTS Player of the Month; and the Carling Goal of the Month.

For the player award, for the first time, the Premier League has also called on the nominees’ peers to contribute, with the club captains casting votes for a winner.

And from this season, the public have had the chance to play a role, too, helping to decide the winners in each category.

Votes made on premierleague.com for the manager and player awards and via the Carling Tap app and website for the best goal will contribute towards deciding who will lift the awards.

The public’s votes cast in each category will represent 10% of the total votes and will be combined with those of the panel (and captains, for the player award), and so could prove crucial in deciding who will receive the awards.

The winners will be announced on premierleague.com on Friday.

Would have thought his chances were better with the public vote if I'd seen that panel.
