Derby post match thread 10/09/2016

He was gash as usual.... Rooney, bog brush and bailly, all should of been off, as should bravo!!

Will have to agree to disagree then Zin. Thought he wasn't looking for any adverse decisions and other than Wooney being in his face, he handled proceedings relatively well. Could have given the Scum two penalties and would have not got any criticism from the pundits (admitedly, they are somewhat biased though).

3 points, Moanio put back in his box and the world is lovely

I'm astounded to see how many rags genuinely believe or have convinced themselves that the ref cost them points today. That kind of delusion is special. If LVG was still in charge after a performance like that and Mourinho getting it so wrong in the first half, you'd be able to hear the boo's all the way to Singapore.

I don't buy this they were better in the second half bandied about in the internet of tears. As far as I know Bravo didn't even have to parry a shot and only had to pluck balls off the air. We on the other hand hit the post once and had at least two chances scrambled away by their keeper for corners. Our first half was a dimension above anything ever seen in the league, while our second was grinding out football that we can and have in the past pulled off. How many times were we clear on the break, if Aguero was on the receiving end of those counters we would have seen more goals in the last quarter of the game.

Dodged the bullet with 100plus millions for the most over rated player of the century.
Fucking joke

I said before that i think Pogba (and his agent) have made a huge mistake...not necessarily going to utd but going to play under Mouhrihnio.....he will not progress under him at all....whereas under other managers (Pep and others) he would have done. He hasn't looked anything beyond average in any game he has played yet and today he was shown what a footballer looks like by ferna, silva and kdb.

I rate pogba but think he has committed career suicide by going there and I'm not sure who is going to pay a fee that utd would want for him in the future if he decides he wants to leave if they don't get into the champs league

Fantastic performance for the first 38 mins when we tore them to shreds then we dropped the pace a bit - not fit enough yet - and let them back in.
Bravo had an absolute stinker - still I'm sure he'll come good as there was some good stuff there.
We didn't collapse though and a few tactical changes and we were back it. Otamendi, Stones, Fernandinho and De Bruyne were superb. Didn't score as many as we should have though with the overloads we had. Sané was impressive on his debut too.
Can't wait till the team is fully fit though.

Watching them hoof long diagonal balls over to our left back is exactly what Mourinho did when Chelsea came to the etihad on his return, they had Ivanovic pushing up, he scored the winner that game and Mourinho was hailed as a tactical genius but now it's predictable. All the pundits are know nowts, the thing they all said would win the rags the game is the thing that went against them, tall, powerful players but ultimately a little statuesque to contain our more mobile, technically superior wizards, and then hoofing up to the front hoping to win the 2nd ball is all a little Sam Alladyce, relying on stats that show that a team that wins the 2nd ball around the box get chances, but the problem with that is that game becomes a lottery. We were magnificent and will only get better, like Henry said "Watch out".

they were better for about the first 7-8 mins of the second half...then pep changed it and they had no answer and it was pretty even after that .....we had quite a few situations where we should have done a lot better when breaking away and pep alluded to that as well...though it was his first game i think sane was quite guilty of that...though he did set up the kdb chance...hopefully just first game jitters and he will settle over the next month or so...id start him mid week in the chumps league just to give him a bit of a boost and rest sterling/nolito

when we play this lot again hopefully we will have a fully fit squad with aguero and jesus especially......they will rip them a part if utd play like they did today.....numerous one on one situations today and we didn't do well enough in them...whereas aguero and esp jesus are very good in those situations

Fair play to most rags on Sad Cafe who agree we are still a level above them, but they still have there muppets bless em

"I'm still wondering when we get a fair ref.
Pep must have some hold over officials because his team seem to play to different rules than everyone else"

You are right about his career suicide but he was never a 100+ million player to begin with .

Rooney should and won't be punished retrospectively. Definitely told the referee to fuck off, was physically aggressive towards Pep amongst countless other things.

He also stamped on Fernandinho, probably when he realised United had spent 3x as much on a worse CM.

Maybe loads of Blues can tweet the footage of it to the FA.

And to think we have Gundogan and Sane to fit into the side...the future is very bright indeed
