Im glad the inevitable has come this early in the season! Oh i hope to god this isnt just a poor run of form and they end up finishing 12th. Its fucking brilliant being a city fan at the moment

I believe it was £109m or one ilkay on top to but it another way ;-)

Yeah - i'm convinced it was over £100mil too... luckily the press has been briefed to make the fee look a bit more favourable.... add in the agents fee of £20mil too...

They needed a player like Kante, but instead they went for a 'marquee' signing that would keep their deluded fans quiet and make them believe they were still a player in world football!

If the start of this season is anything to go by, they need to have a cold, hard look at their transfer policy. The Dia Maria cash splash didn't work; the Marial deal looks like it might go the same way and whilst Pogba is a very good player and will improve for them, £89 mill is pure folly. Which is why no one else was interested at that price.
We had a megathread about him in the transfer forum last year and people were hailing him as the messiah and were desperate to have him here. I think some of that was people seeing similarities with and thinking him to be a replacement for Yaya. So was all last years hype just that and people jumping on a bandwagon without knowing a lot about him, or were there genuinely people on here who had seen him play and rated him at the kinds of prices that were being quoted for him.

IMO if Pogba had ended up here under Peps guidance I think he would be a different player. Went to the rags for the money (don't hold that against him) and he is under the wrong manager. As I say just my opinion.

Have to agree with @Neville Kneville, Jose in his post match press conference had a very familiar look, dreadful body language, nothing is his fault.
Very similar to his behaviour at Chelsea last season, a defeat at Watford could see him in full meltdown mode - something I'm sure nobody would want to see!!
The worse I ever saw Jose, meltdown-wise,was after Chelsea, s high scoring defeat at spurs (last season I think)
..post match interview, his hair was wildly dishevelled, he had a cut above his right eye,was on full blown surly response mood and looked as though he would burst into tears at any moment.I still firmly believe he had been involved in a dressing room fight moments before that interview..of course the press never said a single thing about his appearance and the Russian gangsters baby escaped any interrogation whatsoever on what was of course a nothing story...
This walking ego of a football manager(,whose success over the years is not built upon any natural feel for the game, having not played it,and is more reliant upon robotic tactics) has a wonderful inability to hide his meltdown tendencies, and this season could potentially give rise to the biggest utd car crash since they were back heeled into the lower division in 1974.the pogba and rooney debacles, together with Thursday night cup woes mean that the theatre has some cracking performances to be lapped up,live on TV, throughout the season.
This from a man who begged utd to employ him lol!

I still believe he's a great player – however he's not playing in a position or system at the Rags that suit him, and as other have already mentioned - the quality of the players around him, especially in defence, is a lot poorer!

Having now witnessed the way Pep wants his players to play it's clear that Pogba isn't suited to our style of play... not that he's suddenly a bad player, but like Yaya, Hart etc., he's not suited to Pep's style.

I, like most people, expected Mourinho's tenure at the Swamp to end in tears, but it seems it will happen a season earlier than thought. He really has looked a shadow of his former self since taking over at the Rags... he looks clinically depressed - don't think i've seen him smile once!
I don't think he has smiled once since he has been there - remember that photo taken in the offices in London when he signed the contract

Looked fucked off and has done since. Maybe the much rumoured pre-contract tied him into signing one which he didn't like and transfer dealings taken out of his hands. He has form for showing Roman what he thought of his signings by fucking up games. Maybe things he thought he could change at will have proved immutable because of contracts or PR/commercial issues - like dropping that fat shit from midfield or wherever it is he decides he is going to play this week

There players look like they are playing. With led in there boots and our players look like they have a real spring in our step! Since baconface has. Left they have signed attacking players and played them under negative managers! For me maureens methods. are for the history books the times of teams being scared of the rags has gone they should have gone for koeman and it wouldnt suprise me to see him there in the next couple of seasons! Big job on to make top 4 for me he's already started blaming refs and players and some of the fans already questioning him could be turmoil there by Xmas!

Got a text on Tuesday from my rag mate, he sent a link about the match getting called off trying to take the piss. Same lad who sent me a text when they won the charity shield saying #1. Same lad sent me a text when they beat Bournemouth saying #2. Not heard from him since Tuesday. Weird.

I might be wrong but I think this is what you're talking about.

I think under Pep he'd be a good player. Just like di maria, he doesn't suit the rags.

Saying that though it's great to see him flop.
