UEFA plan controversial changes to prize money distribution

Time to give that corrupt organisation the fucking elbow. Start scouting for support from other clubs and chase backing from China and The USA. If we can persuade enough backing through this T V and sponsorship that would offer teams more money from a alternative competition then go for it. Would love us to win the league for the next two seasons and then tell them to fuck off and stick their corrupt cup where the sun don't shine. May be a bit of a pipe dream but would it to happen. No chance of us getting nearer to sell outs in the Champions League if the get this passed will just intensify the hatred with our fans with UEFA.
I'd absolutely love that!

Why don't they just change the competition to be like the ATP Champions tours in tennis where all the retired has-beens can play show matches. Rags versus dippers fits this description perfectly.

Can't wait to see Gill try to bring this in at a domestic level in the hope that they'll qualify for the thing.

Unbelievable how supporters of clubs who are profiting from this find it very justifiable. Have they no shame when knowing how blatantly favouritist it is.

What do you think ?

The fuckwits who follow the Rags will clearly believe that they should be getting preferential treatment from UEFA, and the supporters of the Milan clubs will likewise believe that their past success should still entitle them to a bigger share of the money.

A total disgrace, but unless all the other clubs do something about it, the David Gill initiative will ensure that it comes into effect, or if as reported recently, perhaps too late to change anyway.

I find it hard to believe that this seems to be happening with virtually no serious challenges or a outcry from the other competing clubs.

Well, the ECA does have a policy:
Launch of Domestic Governance Campaign
In line with ECA's mission to promote good governance, the ECA Executive Board decided to launch a campaign to enhance domestic governance at national level and, more specifically, strengthen the influence of clubs in the decision-making processes of national associations. The campaign, which centres on four key pillars - democracy/inclusiveness, transparency/accountability, legal stability and club revenue distribution - will see ECA officials visit key stakeholders in countries where club involvement/influence in the national governance system remains limited. The visits will be used to benchmark the existing governance models with the ultimate aim to make recommendations to the national associations.

Are individual club stances known, or are they bound to go with the majority? City are members of the ECA ....

Pep has asked to stop booing so I will.i ain't going to stand in respectful silence though. NEW words to the Chorus...

Dis-Honest,
Thieves, Robbers,
Corrupt and Duplicitous,
U-EFA!

If you think they're corrupt, and is shite, then why attend the games? Surely the best demonstration of your dislike for the competition is to not watch the competition.

That'll go down well with the national FAs.

Don't think it'll work, the national associations are actual legislative and governing bodies unlike UEFA, who are simply competition organisers. They have a real power base within their jurisdictions and won't take interference lightly.

That's partially how I see it, if people feel so strongly.

But the Premier League is equally corrupt & dishonest but we don't boo that anthem & we all go to the games.

We piss them off by beating their favoured teams.

They brought in FFP because Utd, Arsenal etc asked them to directly. It was to stop us & try to keep Utd etc at the top. That's even worse than UEFA imo.

Yep, but they're not Johnny Foreigners!

Even if this does come into force. The Rags aren't helping Mr Gill are they. Soon he will have to bring in a rule that says any team that finishes 9th, plays in Red and pretends to come from Manchester can qualify.

It is the same as the so called Premier League, the 'big clubs' are not getting enough money so they break away, or in UEFA competitions constantly threaten to so they make concessions.

This is more the fault of the clubs than UEFA itself. Now the European Club Association has Newcastle, Villa and Liverpool involved for England.

Part 2
Guardiola has only worked at clubs that are in league with UEFA, that work hand in glove to preserve their status in the closed shop of the European elite.

So before telling City's fans to forget the past, he might want to get a glimpse of his future. It is all there, in UEFA's new co-efficient table.

G'wan MS, you tell the disrespectful baldy motherfucker.

Incidentally mate you're going to get in trouble for posting the full article, the fail's lawyers will be on to Ric first thing tomorrow.

Lets not forget, none of this comes into play unless the teams in question qualify for the CL, I seriously doubt the rags will this season if they carry on playing the dross they are now, only two shots on goal against Watford and its the Refs and Shaw's fault....!

'A subsidiary company will be created that will play a strategic role in determining the future and the management of club competitions: UEFA Club Competitions SA, where half of the managing directors will be appointed by UEFA and the other half by the ECA.'

This is the most important line, in the whole business imo.

The G14 or more realistically, Utd, Liverpool, Arsenal, AC Milan, Inter Milan, Bayern Munich, Barca & Real Madrid (plus maybe Juve & Chelsea) will not be advising UEFA, they will be running the competition.

UEFA, will be our best bet of getting a fair deal in any negotiations. It will be a choice between the football body & a panel of our bitter enemies, who decide on anything relating to City.

If this is allowed to go through, we will need to win the thing, just in order to avoid being shit on.

The cartel are obviously threatening a breakaway, & the price for staying, is them running the competition. The next phase, is that Utd, Liverpool, AC Milan etc, get an automatic place, even if they don't qualify, in recognition of their 'history'.
